My brother has one he puts on his bike helmet for his mountain biking adventures- I think he paid about $200 for it- will find out what kind it is...
I have one that I use for x-country. It is a Drift Innovation HD 170, has great quality, picks up great sound and the picture is wonderful. I have more people tell me that it is like playing a video game then anything. Mine weighs less then a pound, I have it mounted onto my helmet using double side stick tape and the camera snaps into the mount. I have a youtube account that if you type in chrissywest you will find my videos!!!

What I'm looking for is a mount for my helmet - I already have the camera.
Use sticky tape. The helmet should NEVER be modified. GoPro has a head strap system or a curved pad with double sided tape. I use the head strap.
Do NOT use screws, bolts, drill holes or any such thing to the helmet. At best you ruin its capacity to protect your head. At worst you add a new thing to do more damage to your skull.
I have a helmet strap for my GoPro. It goes around the helmet and then across the top (like a headlamp) It fits like a glove... very secure.
