stock tie and pin annoyance

@wateryglen-gasp! as pony clubbers leaping dinosaurs over tarpits we pinned all the layers through-ie, shirt, skin, adam's apple, larynx... and back out! made for good character! and (almost) made us not talk back!
@janet-just inherited a gorgeous clan kilt pin from 104 yr-old great auntie-sad the circumstances to have it but looking forward to using it!
@birdm-the glycerine or castile bar in the nether regions of the trailer also make a great stand in although...

I wonder if these are the basic ones you see for cheap everywhere or if "steel shank" = better quality?

What clan?

As much as its hard to say your mother is right, my mother heard me struggling with stock pins a few years back.

The advice shegwve, rub the pin in your hair, it will take the natural oil from your hair and make the pin slide though the fabric.

As debated with her about the validity of the statement, how would she know anyway has never so much as ridden a horse, she reminded me that she is a mother of 4 children long before disposable diapers were ever gpcreated, and what we call stock pins are actually diaper pins that shed put throu cloth diapers dozen of times a day for over a decade.

I tried it...guess what. Works like a charm. Still do that to this day
