Won't have time to read the article until this afternoon, but your title gave me a chuckle: reminds me of my days working for a major university medical center. I wrote for publication both inside and outside the organization and we had certain rules. There were never "crises" just "challenges", never "problems" but rather "oppportunities". And we never, ever promised to do something but rather "indicated that we had a plan in place to address the issue". Gawd, don't you just love weasel words?
NOT my favorite job, but it did teach me to "hear" this kind of language and then question the authorities.
