Pintabian in NW suburbs of Chicago for free lease
My best friend from home just called to tell me she's pregnant again! YAY! She's also having a hard time finding a suitable place to board her horses in her price range, and we decided it may be time to lease her youngest horse.
Rain is a BEAUTIFULLY marked 5 year old black/dark bay and white mare. 3/4 paint, 1/4 arabian. Her dad is a rope horse and her mom is a VERY successful low level eventer/schoolie/packer type.
Rain lacks a lot of education but is VERY solid on the ground and while trail riding. She w/t/c and knows her leads, does not spook easily and had toted my God daughter around frequently.
My friend would like to keep her close enough to visit- and she's in McHenry, so anywhere around those suburbs.
Rain will be a fantastic little event pony, and has the movement for some hunter stuff (if you like the crazy markings!) I'm thinking she may still stick as a large pony, but its been awhile since I've seen her and I can't quite picture her height- mom was definitely under 14 hh. She'll be a nice little bring-along over the winter! Her owner is super easy to work with- so no worries about getting a horse yanked in the middle of show season- she'll just be so excited that she's doing SOMETHING! This may even settle into a long term thing with the right person.
