Student

Horses (duh), reading, art, running, listening to music, animals and movies
Biography:
I've been a horse lover as long as I can remember, but they have been sadly inaccessable for a long time. I took riding lessons in elementary and learned walk, posting trot and to sit a canter, we were starting lead changes before I left. I've been told my posture is good (as of two years ago), and my instructors were impressed with my balance sitting through horse antics and stumbling/shying.

Private school 6-12 was too expensive to also do lessons, and extracurriculars took up time, so I haven't ridden with any regularity since elem. I've managed about one ride per year (my heart aches, so saaaad) and found outlets watching horse racing, grand prix jumping, eventing and anything else. I also read horse books (fiction and non-fiction), watch horse movies, draw horses, listen to horse podcasts, design my dream barn basically anything I can find.

I'm hoping to find real horses in college.

Other things about me:
My interest in art started with drawing horses in pre-k, but has since expanded. I'm taking AP Studio this year and my concentration theme (12 pieces) is the thoroughbred racehorse. So I've come full circle. I'm looking at computer animation (yay disney!) as a major

I read, a lot, which also stems from childhood horse outlets in pony pals (remember those?) But my library now also includes a variety of action, fantasy and instructional books.

I've always been a bit of nerd, and I eat up documentaries on a lot of topics, especially animals. Animal Planet and the New NatGeo Wild are my two fave channels. I also like the shows Criminal Minds, NCIS, Mythbusters, the Mentalist and How I Met Your Mother

Signature

Of the heart-aching, hard-working, hope-having, horse-loving and horse-less variety. We are a sad species indeed.
