    CET chews are actually recommended by many veterinary dentists and are rawhide-like chews...you can get them at pet stores (ie. don't need an Rx)....

    Looks like the gabapentin was 5 mg/kg- I would try 10 mg/kg TID and give it longer than 6 days. Often results are quick, but I would probably try 2-4...

    Your DVM can call in a Rx to Wedgewood Pharmacy (or another compounding pharmacy) and you can get transdermal or flavored chewable pills....

    I vote with the others - let the vet do it with sedation/anesthesia - will be less stressful for the cat (and you) and you will be able to maintain...
