200!

Two hundred horses thundering over the hill
They gallop, they rear, but they never stay still.

Watching cowboys intently who are riding for naught,
Tense and alert - this day they won't be caught.

A hundred years has shaped their herd,
Many generations now - well past the third.

Cunning, strong senses, and a will to survive,
This herd is one with nature, and they shall thrive.

Leader bugles a warning to the ranks below,
They follow her direction bounding through the snow.

Retreating to safety of canyons and bluffs,
Cowboys defeated, for this task was too tough.

Another day, another ride, perhaps another chance,
To laso a wild horse and finally get that dance.

 Ok, so I'm not much of a writer!
