I'm going to Oahu with a friend the last week of May, and was looking for suggestions of things to do/see that won't cost an arm & a leg?

Thanks!:D

Waimea Valley Audobon Center - North Shore - $8 for adults

Hanging out on the Kailua beach - free - best beach on Oahu

Makapuu Point walk/hike

Snorkeling in Hanauma Bay - bring rash guards / sun shelter, go in the morning if you can - amazing fun, but the sun will cook you

Definitely worth renting a car. Have fun, it's such a great place.

The zoo. We took the kids every weekend. The Arizona memorial. You can spend hours wandering around the international market place. And if they're still performing, do not pass up the chance to see the Brothers Cazimaro. When I think of Hawaii they're the first thing that comes to mind. Whenwe went back several years ago, they were performing at the Bishop museum.
