First time out schooling x-country with my young guy. He was very good. We keep it very easy going and just had fun. It was very hot out which was not fun, 28C/83F

Awww - he is adorable. Big rangy baby. Looks like he is a lot of fun. Nice that you are keeping things low key and fun for him.

WOW, he's HUGE!!
Good for you getting out there!
Are you going to be taking the 3-day clinic with Jane in a couple of weeks? If so, see you there with my young'un (the same one as before ;))

It would be nice but money is a little tight.

Kate rode Sass (the boy I rode last time) yesterday and he was so easy going it was to funny how relaxed he was. We both had a great time.

Massage and chiro are working wonders for him, we are thinking he pulled a muscle in the mud. He is on Renew and I think it is helping. Almost back to 100%.

You can see what I mean by this photo, he is so relxed in the photo.

Congrats on your first XC schooling with the big baby :) He did great!!!! He does seem very relaxed - even just trotting over that small log.....that's a good sign. He's not a fire-breathing-freight-train when he gets out on XC.

Looks like you'll have alot of fun with him!

I have a very similar "trot the log" photo of my mare, when we schooled XC years ago. She's saying, why jump it when I can just trot it? Nice and relaxed:

Thanks all.

I am so happy with him. It was only the 4th time ever jumping for him.
