They just won't die. What do you use to get rid of them, or at least beat them back somewhat?

I have had success by filling their mounds with a water hose. Don't know if it kills them, but they disappear.

Sigh... here they just move a few feet. I've tried everything Lowe's sells.

Did you try Amdro granules?

Ortho Orthene works very well. It's a very fine white powder you dust the mounds with. It does work. Home Defense works too but it's not practical. Amdro just has them pack their bags and move to another spot on the property. At least that is my experience.

I've used both of the above products.

Spectracide... 24-hours, everyone's permanently deterred, especially the queen. No need to water it in.

Thanks Chocomare, I'll try that one.

I've used extinguish and amdro pro. I alternate between products. Good luck.

DE, hot water and a solution made from Tischners and orange peels. All three work well enough.

THen take a small shovel of ants and dirt from one mound and put it on another. THey will fight to the death. Territorial little cretins.

Hydrogen peroxide bleach also disturbs them.

Nothing else is safe for chickens and other pets.
