Ugh, I am still trying to find "bargain" custom chaps. Preferably with ostrich leather /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif LOL I'm too picky. Right now I have smooth leather that I got barely used for...$60 I think? I'm hard to fit for chaps because I have long legs that are sorta skinny, so the smalls are too short and the mediums are (too short and) too big. But I found mine from a friend of a friend (Langshaw comes in again! LOL) that are a small long...ok I'll quick rambling now /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Any of you like paints? I will try to get a pic soon up of my barn's baby green paint hunter. He is SO nice. Moves gorgeously, jumps like a TB, has the mind of a WB (no joke!). He is going to be a SUPER nice amateur owner hunter or junior hunter eventually. And the best part? For just turning 4 (this week) he has the mind of a made horse. He's around 15.3 too, to top it off, the great height. Anyways, he is mainly dark bay with a little white (to make him paint) in streaks, nothing big and splotchy. Keep an eye out for his show name, Whiskey Bay, b/c you will be hearing it pretty soon!

I don't think my trainer would have until recently...BECAUSE I found this really cool horse named Debonaire on this Michigan webpage, and guess what?!? Since we can't go look at the horse, Tedra Bates buys him and he is reserve champion in the regular working hunters at Harrisburg during his first year green year!!! I think my trainer would go now if I found a horse.... (then again, we also passed up on Cottonwood when I was trying him, back in the day, so who knows)

I just thought it was funny, because I was walking through the barn, asking our groom, "Where'd that one come from!" and shrieking and cracking up with one of the pony kids. It was pretty funny, but you probably had to be there or something, lol.

Okay, so this is prolly gonna make me look real dumb, but hey...I'm a freak so shoot me.

I think that only certain horses can pull off the animal print look. I tried zebra striped on Sweets and came to the conclusion that she's just not sassy enough (hehe, I said sassy). Now with Copper, I put leopard prints on him, and it looked so good. Even the barn manager agreed with me and she usually *hates* them.

Some of our little pony kids have the cute different polos with the prints and whatever, that's cute. They also have their little Heidis that are so adorable too. But anyways, there is this one pregreen/children's hunter at our barn and the girl who owns him always puts these aweful lepoard print polos on when she is riding him (never at a show, hahah thank god!) but at home, and this bay looks SOOO stupid....my trainer was finally like "NO!!!!! NO MORE! I don't care if he's in Beval's, Heidis, black polos, nothing, whatever, no more printed polos!!!"

Anyway, do you know him?

My friends and I try to outdo each other with neon and bright colored boot socks, but that is about it. My barn is generally conservative as well- black or white polos (except little ponies, but still no bright neon pink or anything!), black velvet huntcaps w/o a cover (no bright turquoise helmet covers for me! lol jk), traditional colored tack/saddlepads. My trainer will not school you at a horse show if you look stupid or funny. Well maybe funny is ok, but definitely not stupid. Nothing bright orange, for example, hehe.

I am SOO intrigued by the tye dye polos thing. Although I would never use them, they just sound like so much fun. I am a big Phish/Widespread/Marley fan so maybe the 4/20 side of me is just emerging /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well seeing I am not horsebackriding during college unless it's only on the weekends, I want to go to Columbia University in Manhattan (my daddy got his degree from there!). Gabby Salick goes there and teaches there too (she has lots of grand prix horses and rides with Tim Grubb).

This summer I am going to (suffer) spend my summer at Harvard Summer School in Boston ALL summer long, meaning no showing or riding for me /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

There you have it....my collegiate future.

My friend's parents were out of town (lol, her mom is with their friends at their house in BVI and her dad is off "on business"...i.e. with his adulteress in NYC) last night so a whole bunch of us spent it over and went out and stuff. Not only did I almost fall asleep in my friend's volvo (gotta love those German cars....wait, volvos are German right?! where are they made?! Switzerland? huh? I've lost it) we went to bed at 6 am and got up at 10 am to take showers and stuff and come home. Four hours of sleep and I'm still somehow running....
