Sadly, this is my best jumping pic for my equitation. It's not my favorite because I'm bareback and what not, but hey, it's fun. Just a little crossrail, but critique away!!

P.S. Markie is not at all impressed by these low jumps, which is why her legs are so not tight

I love this picture...taken 2 weeks ago of my OTTB Canter baby..I've had him 5 months, he'll be 4 in July...we've just started going over fences and he's really cute over the bigger ones.....you know 2'6". It's my trainer riding and we can't get her to wear a helmet at home. I always wear one! I was taking the picture and I can't believe I got it! I'm very proud of myself.

Thanks!! haha that was at one of his first 3'6 shows, so he was pretty impressed, so he's not always that explosive but he does jump very well. he tucks up his little front feet! hehe, he's only 15.2 1/2, so he's little! but thank you! i took him back to indoors, and im hoping to sell him there this fall

You should be very proud of both of you. Nice horse, great timing with the photograph.

Get her to wear the hat, especially riding the babies. My worst fall, in a hack class on a good mover - he tripped and fell down ON ME, Thank God I had my hat on and it stayed on.

Well, I have exactly 3 pics on my computer, so I guess I'll post 2 of them. These are on the "psycho mare" I used to ride, Fallon. For all you GA cliquers, she's still out there somewhere, last I heard. Anyway, these are a few years ago; don't be too harsh, she really "cracked her back" over the jumps, even though her legs are a little loose.

I only have one picture from our one A show, in a 3' jumper class. But I don't have it on my laptop!

These are yucky pictures but they are all I have. They are from our first show, a few weeks after he came to stay last April.

Critique if you want, but like I said, they are horrid!

Always willing to post pictures of my boys..

This is William, jumping his first fence ever.. He loves it - he'll drag me to the trot poles when I'm riding him in the ring. I keep telling him, "Next year, buddy.. Next year.."

On William: He loves to walk around with his security blanket in his mouth.. Too bad Toga is usually wearing it then..

And, an actual jumping picture.. This is from my first show with Toga, a week after I bought him. I was still figuring him out - I'd only jumped one or two courses before this - so my eq sucks badly. Oh well! We'll have a much better grip on things when we start showing again.. I hope..

Luisa...

Go to Start, Accessories, then paint. Open your picture. Choose the tab at the top that says image, then choose stretch/skew. Change the percentages equally, then go to the same image tab, and select attributes. You want to make sure your pic is smaller than....is it 640x480? somewhere thereabouts. Don't forget to save it....

He's an appendix gelding, we've had him for 10 years now. Sadly he can't really jump anymore cause of hock probs and the start of navicular http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. eventrider,

I evented up to intermediate in my YR days, then quit to do the college thing. I always thought I'd pick it back up where I left off and get up to ** or *** one day. But I have yet to ride regularly since Sr year in high school and in my old age (ok, ya well i'm 23 http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif) looking at that picture, while it looks thrilling, freaks the heck outta me and i doubt that whenever I get back in the saddle I'll EVER make it past training! Ahh, it looks so great but I just don't know if I have it in me!!!

All that to say, what an awesome horse you have on your hands...

These are older (2001) but **sniff, sob** I won't have any new ones in the near future. Bentley's always worth seeing again http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

this, believe it or not, is his 'better' form. Bascule, who needs bascule http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And yes, I did buy the 8x10 but had a heck of a time scanning it in, so you're stuck with the 4X6 proof, sorry http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Awesome picture eventrider! I'm so glad you posted it.

For those of you who asked, the maximum height for Advanced is *only* 3'11". But I think this picture is a perfect example of why a 3'11" advanced cross country jump requires much more skill (and nerve) than jumping any old 3'11" jump.

Little Indian,

Indy never fails to amaze me! How did you ride with a broken pinky? Did you put the reins between your 3rd and 4th fingers?

I said it before; there are a lot of really great pic's and horses on this thread!

Hunter88- I think he's really cute too! He fits in with the rest of these horses more than my horses do http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

This is my old boy, Lorenzo (Merchant of Venice), at Devon in 'Foxhunter Field Performance" class. Sort of the locals chance to get into the Dixon Oval. It isn't me riding. A pro catch rode him -- Rachel Baker. I'm sitting in the green jacket near the very top of the stands -- right where the upper right hand corner of the marker is! It's 3'6" and the same course they used for the A/O Stake class.

yes, that is how I did it. you should have seen Indy yesterday. OH MY GOD! absolutly crazy lol. well not crazy, but just a bundle of energy. he was like one of those pin balls, where you pull back the lever and then BOOM. he was really good. but he did get the NORMAL 5 in the trot in 6 line (the red one down the middle) the first time. His stride was huuuge

I just love your signature:

"As the Europeans say - No Scope, No Hope!"

I just think that's adorable. ^_^

Mm, anyway. Hello to everyone; I'm new here. w00t. I haven't ridden since September (>_< money complications, for the most part), and really hope to get back to it soon. Looking through these forums has helped me really, really find the urge again to ride. ^_^ Yay!

Mm, so. The essentials: fifteen, ride hunter/jumper. ^_^ I usually [er, used to?] ride this 27-- grah! 28 year old TB, Petey. He's the love of my life, I swear.

By September, we were jumping 3'6", which was a whole foot higher than his limitations. His owner was the trainer, so she knew where to stop him and everything, but. Yeah. ^_^ So. w00t.

Anyway. I did make him a site (soon to be remodeled) with some photos, though most of them are v. bad, taken over a year ago, and none with us jumping. I really started jumping in the summer, and these were the winter beforehand. Plus, I looked sweaty and gross in them, so I edited me out of most of them. [I'm the one in the yellow; my friend is the one in maroon].

So. Yes. here's the addy: Http://www21.brinkster.com/peteykins/

Whee.
