I was wondering if anyone has good or bad opinions on these two products:

Summer Eczema Oral Supplement
and
RK Topical Spray

These are sold by: http://equinemedsurg.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2&zenid=cf28b9769c9b61bed6ff1f3263237e88

I gave my mare a regular single dose of Equimax two weeks ago hoping it would help but she's still itching and balding and rubbing... oh my.

I haven't tried any of those products so I can't speak to them, but I would try giving your horse a bath with baby shampoo. It's very gentle so it won't irritate but with remove any allergens/irritants upsetting your horse. I would also try MTG on the tail to see if that helps. A lot of dewormers don't have any affect on pinworms. Pinworms are very easy to diagnose, the vet just sticks a swatch of tape under the tail and picks up any pinworms (if any) then treat appropriately.

You would double dose her if you are having trouble with sweet itch.

Definitely do the double dosing. Also, I have found Bye Bye Itch supplement and lotion from Hilton Herbs helps. Calvin Borel taught me that bald faces can sometimes be related to ulcers, and to treat for that. My link above takes you to some of the remedies I have found.

Keep the face clean, even if with a damp towel.
Make a habit of using a medium or stiff dandy brush, in lots of quick strokes, down the top of the dock to stimulate natural protective oils, as well as exfoliate to release them.
