I am very patient. She is quite the beginner, and I put up with a lot!

11) What is your greatest strength?
I love to jump and will jump from anywhere. Sometimes, when we are doing boring flatwork, I will try and drag my silly rider to the jumps. I particularly like to drag her to the biiiig jumps she's not ready for. It is very funny! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

12) What areas do you need to work on?
My silly rider thinks I need to bend more around turns. But I prefer to lean and bulge. She has a weak leg but she still tries to get me to bend around it. /infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Golden delicious apples. They are heavenly!

14) Do you have any cute eccentricities or quirks? What are they?
I alway poop when someone takes me to the mounting ramp or brings a mounting block up next to me. It's best to get that stuff over before working you know!

15) What makes you happy?
I like it when my owner scratches me just above my eye. It feels soooo nice! I lean into it and relax. I also like to have my ears scratched. If my owner is neglegent and does not scratch them enough, I will waggle them in front of her face till she notices that they need scratching.

16) What do you not like?
I wish my rider would forgo putting that wretched girth on me for every ride! Shouldn't she be balanced enough to ride without one? I also cannot tolerate small ponies. They are very scary!

When I get my rice bran nice & sloppy from my water bucket, slop it all over my nose and then give her a big KISS on the lips.

10) What is your greatest strength?
My heart. I grew up with my first mom at the same place Sunday Silence, Gato De Sol and Fusiachi Pegasus did with their first moms, and I was a $250k 2 y/o but I ended up at a cheap track. I ran 66 races in 5 years and tried my best every time anyway. And I'd run 66 more of someone asked me too (but I hope no one does!)

11) What areas do you need to work on?
Screaming bloody murder every time mom turns her attention from me for a 1/2 second in the mornings. But she's MY MOM, not that fat pony's mom!!!!

12) What is your favorite treat?
Pop Tarts.

11) What is your greatest strength? I am really cute, first of all, but I also have almost picture perfect conformation, a great personality, and am one heck of an athlete... just to toot my own horn!
12) What areas do you need to work on? Relaxing. Maybe I should try yoga. Actually, a calm and tactful rider would help too, in addition to having a job that I enjoy. Maybe this event stuff will work out. I hear that event horses get to play in the water sometimes and gallop a lot.

14) Do you have any cute eccentricities or quirks? What are they? I make "smelly faces" a lot. Plus, I just learned how to play and act like a "horse." I had never been turned out before I came here. It took me some time to figure out how to gallop and play with buddies. I would't trade it for the world now though!
15) What makes you happy? Being out with my best buddie Artie. We have fun together. I also like breakfast and dinner. They are my most favorite parts of the day. I also like it when my mom curries a certain spot on my chest-- I melt like butter and make giraffe faces.
16) What do you not like? When my breakfast or dinner are late. I also don't like sudden movements. I had some owners in the past who were a bit rough with me, so I am skitterish at times. I HATE spray bottles anywhere near my head!!

1) What is your show name? I don't think I have a show name... but my registered name is Bold Chance, so I suppose that's my show name too

3) What is your sex? Uhh...uh... I'm an "it". I was forced to become an "it" I didn't want to be an it, but I have to be an it. (he's a gelding)

7) Who is your rider/owner/leaser? I don't know. Lindsay says she owns me, but I don't really believe it. She didn't own me this summer... so I think maybe she still doesn't. But she says she does. I don't know. My other owner doesn't ride me anymore, except maybe sometimes, so I guess maybe Lindsay does own me. But she doesn't ride me much either. I don't know who owns me! I guess Lindsay does, now....
8) In what discipline do you participate? I'm green. I can walk, trot, and canter. I like stretching into the bit too, but I wasn't taught to do it. I don't do any discipline. I'm green, so I just get to do everything. I really want to jump though and Lindsay promised that someday, she'd teach me, but she says I'll do more dressage than jumping in my life.
9) Have you tried any other disciplines? I've gone to gymkhanas before. But not with Lindsay.
10) What does your rider/owner/leaser like best about you?
She doesn't know me very well yet, but she thinks I"m adorable. And she likes that I don't try to run her into doors or other horses.
11) What is your greatest strength? I'm adorable?
12) What areas do you need to work on? I need to quit scratching my head on people, they say. Lindsay's dad thinks it's cute, though, so even if Lindsay wants me to quit, I don't necessarily have to, do I? I should also quit taking big breaths before they do up the girth - then they think I need a 50" girth when a 48 will fit if I don't blow myself up.
13) What is your favorite treat? What are treats? Oh, are those those crunchy things? I like those....
14) Do you have any cute eccentricities or quirks? What are they? I like to scratch on people and to blow myself up when my rider goes to do up my girth.
15) What makes you happy? hay. lots of hay. and groomings. And being ridden. I like to work.

again, too many to list. eating carrots, being the prince of the barn are two top ones

not terrorizing Lara's mommy on trips to the paddock, staying in my paddock even if the grass is greener on the other side, not bucking mommy off if she hasn't ridden me in a while.
13) What is your favorite treat?
carrots, although the lariope around the barn ranks pretty high, too.
14) Do you have any cute eccentricities or quirks? What are they? Everything I do is cute. I don't much care for Lara wearing a hat, so I make sure to pull them off her head and wave them around. I decorate her helmets with teeth marks. I prefer for her to wear acrylic nails for better scratching-makes her a little more useful, you know. If the barn guys forget my blanket, I will pull them down myself and nest in them. This also applies if I just feel I am not warm enough (i.e. my body temp is under 150 degrees). I back up and don't let anyone take off my blanket if I'm not warm enough. I don't believe I need to eat anything less than top-quality alfalfa hay. I'll stop there, mommy is getting tired of typing.

Seeing Lara [not being egotistical, he really does], eating carrots, getting loose, showing, being worked.

She started out trying to make me event and do dressage. But I got too nervous. Too much happened at one time that I never felt prepared for. I mean, just as you're happily getting into a rhythm galloping cross country and jumping jumps something pops up in front of you - like, a rock on the side of the trail or a jump judge sitting next to a jump. It was just too nerve-wracking. I felt like I needed Valium. I like the predictability of the show ring.

10) What does your rider/owner/leaser like best about you?
How much time do you have? HaHa! I'm really athletic. I'm pretty easy going to work around. I have excellent manners (I'm well bred, see above!). And, I'm beautiful to look at.

11) What is your greatest strength?
Have you seen my hind end lately?

12) What areas do you need to work on?
Oh, ok, so I need to concentrate a little more on my work and not be so distractable (I know, I know, she tells me that every day!).

13) What is your favorite treat?
Organic natural foods only please. No candy. Fruits and vegetables. (A girl's gotta watch her weight and all but it's kinda boring only getting one quart of pellets twice a day.)

Not really. I'm kinda boring. I do a few not so cute things but I just can't help it. When I'm in heat I just can't stop myself....

Being outside and just wandering from one piece of grass to the next. I also love it when I get to run around the indoor arena when I've got excess energy. It's fun to run around in figure 8's and jump over the jumps that get in my way. It's also fun to play keep away with my owner when she comes out to get me sometimes! (She doesn't agree so when she get's all stern and says, "Rosie!?" in a deep voice I let her catch me.)

16) What do you _not like?_
Being inside when everyone else is out. I also don't like it when Cookie pushes me around. I used to be the alpha mare until I came to Biscuit Hill. It was just too tiring to keep up with all that responsibility. Jewel seemed to have the job at BH so I let her keep it. I was really sad when she died. Now Cookie does it. She's a little obnoxious about it. But, I just stay out of her way.

9.My early years are a little blury. Although I do remember being asked to run fast when I was real young but I didn't like that very much. My fondest memory is when I used to jump but my mom is such a wuss we stopped doing that. Ocationally she teases me and we go over one of those little dinky jumps.
10. My mom seems to love torturing me best. She makes me do that "dressage crap" she also ruins all the effort I put into getting nice and dirty. Oh and the worst is if something scares me she makes me go CLOSER to it and sometimes even rubs the scary monster thing all over me. It's horse abuse no doubt. She's lucky she bring treats everyday.
11.My greatest strength is eating. I do it very well. I don't get to practice as much as I would like though. I can make treats dissapear in the blink of an eye. I have a whole magic act. Mom helps me practice. One second treat is there next it magically disapears.

I'm reliable when push comes to shove, so while I may be a goof when she goes to "work", when she needs to go out in near blizzard conditions to ride 2 miles in 3-5' snow drifts to find out if the ambulance WILL make it through, she grabs me.

12) What areas do you need to work on? Mom says keeping all 4 feet on the ground, and really learning how to work using my hindend (that is really no fun, it is SO much more fun to race around on my forehand)

Not to show in. "Dressage is the foundation of everything" as the humans around here say, so I do a lot of that, and I get to go out and play and gallop on cross-country courses every once in awhile, which I love.

I am strong, and athletic, and very brave, and beautiful, and love to go to shows and be admired, and I love to jump big things.

If I have to chose only one.... I am very brave and will jump anything and never stop.

12) What areas do you need to work on?
I don't agree, but my humans (mom and Trainer Jo) say that I can be a wee bit lazy sometimes. (I call it being smart and not doing things the hard way.) Also sometimes I get excited and don't listen as well as maybe I should when we're jumping, but I'm much better. We're finally jumping courses that are big enough to be really fun, but I realized at the last show that maybe I do need Jo's help sometimes while we're out there.

Also, I tend to get a tiny bit impatient when we're at the end of a long trip and I want to get out of my trailer. I'm always the one that rides at the front, so I'm always the last one off and I hate waiting and sometimes have to stamp my feet to get them to hurry about getting me out.

13) What is your favorite treat?
Food. Oh, specifically, you mean. I can't narrow it down. I love horse cookies, carrots, apples, and sugar cubes.

14) Do you have any cute eccentricities or quirks? What are they?
I have the very first stall in the barn aisle next to the tack room and cross-ties, so most people do pay proper attention to me when I just put my head out. But, if Mom or Jo is paying attention to another horse or thinks they've given me enough cookies, I will nicker and make a rumbling noise, and if that doesn't work I'll stick my tongue out the side of my mouth and turn my head sideways and look so generally adorable that they can't ignore me any longer.

15) What makes you happy?
Food. And jumping big jumps.

16) What do you not like?
The new spurs Trainer Jo got as a gift from my mom. They have little round discs on the ends, not with points or anything, but the discs themselves are enough to be very annoying. They said it was because I was being lazy and not really listening when Jo said "go," but I listen much better now. Thankfully, Jo hasn't worn them at all since we came back from the big show.

Well, I think I've tried them all. I've jumped the fence outside so that's cross country, I can float like a butterfly in the pasture with my extended trot, that's dressage. I've made great time around the arena and a jump snuck up on me so I jumped it on a nice angle, that's jumper, and I like to pin my ears forward over fences so that's hunter.

9) Have you tried any other disciplines? I raced but it wasn't that much fun, so the other horses told me that if I came in last alot that the people wouldn't make me run anymore.

10) What does your rider/owner/leaser like best about you? With so many great qualities, how can she pick just one! But I think it might be that I am not afraid to jump ditches, water or banks - I got TONS of treats the day she figured that out!

11) What is your greatest strength? My sensible attitude, at least that's what my mama says...I think it's my awesome buck!

12) What areas do you need to work on? My flexibility and my mama says I have to be in front of her leg, which I don't quite understand.

13) What is your favorite treat? I loooove carrots, and, it took me awhile to figure out how to eat them, but now I like apples too!

14) Do you have any cute eccentricities or quirks? What are they? I love to smear my beet pulp all over my face. On a good day I can get it in my ears and down my neck too!

15) What makes you happy? Being turned out in the sun and getting treats from my mama.

8) In what discipline do you participate? Discipline? What is that? I am still trying to be a good pony, I don't get to specialize until I behave. Mom wants me to be a Pony Club/Foxhunting pony. I think that I can do it, really I do.

11) What is your greatest strength? Good strength- making people love me by being cute. Bad strength- rearing - it's fun! If I get turned out though I don't do it when somebody is on me
12) What areas do you need to work on? My new rider friend (b/c Mom rode another horse and got hurt) says it's anger management. I just think that I need to be let out of my stall

9) Have you tried any other disciplines? Those three, and I had a dressage lesson, but my mommy isn't a huge dressage fan! She got bored! So now we just use those movements to stretch, no dressage, I like to jump more too!

I jump SO BIG even over the smallest fence, because heaven forbid it bites me, and I am so beautiful =), and that I will always whinny to her, and her mom, and her sister, and the blond lady that looks like her mom, and her trainers....etc..
