Since I don't have any overfences pictures of my baby...

This is my AQHA appendix QH mare at our one and only show last year warming up in the "wonderful" warmup area...

Anyone else?

Hey another Canuck! <G> So, how's the weather down your way today? It was a balmy -14 C here when I took my daughter to school today. Felt wonderful! I'd love to see a profile shot of Cookie. Looks pretty nice from the front http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Well, I like your horse's coloring, and she's very pretty. I personally like the neck to be craned upward more rather than sort of hanging. Her nose looks great though, nice and perpendicular to the ground http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. I think she's beautiful, but I'm not at all partial http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. Since I'm planning on showing her AQHA though I'm not planning on picking her head up too much, just getting her to use her hind deeper and lift her shoulder more than she does. She was a bit heavy at this show, and got very strong on me! I think all the fair activity charged her up! We did well though considering...

Where do you keep your horse at in VA? That ring is huge and beautiful! I'm so jealous!

Here is a pic of me and Tucker at the only rated show we did last fall. He's pure QH and what a dollbaby to ride! (Don't worry we bought the pics and rights to it. But this is the only online shot I have.)

Here's one of me on Psycho Cesi, when he still lived in Germany. I know he's a tad behind the vertical, but keep in mind that he was pulling like a moose, and I was just going for some semblance of control at this point:

Okay, I know I'm not wearing a helmet, but before you all lynch me, I wasn't expecting to ride that day and was wearing just about borrowed everything . . . (http://www.kachoom.com/thefeatures/vacation2000/pictures/meandcoolman1.jpg)

And here's one of my darling Fat Boy and I entering the showring for some jumper classic at Spruce Meadows. Being that he's not technically in the air yet, I chose to interpret that as being on the flat http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif:

Doesn't he look dapper? (http://www.kachoom.com/thefeatures/photos/summer2001/caimansusieenter.jpg)

Here is one 2 weeks after I started leasing this mare. It was raining (there was seriously a lake in the middle of the road getting in, I watched a horse walk through it, and it came to his knees! the rider was frantically trying to get the horse out from the edge, he wanted to roll!)

My mom, had just the week before, been run over by said horse. She was just out of the hospital, with a horse shoe on her head, a seperated shoulder, and a lot of blood lost. I didn't want to go to the show, but she made me, and took pictures. We also have a video somewhere.

(That story has to be told along with this picture!)

Oh, and Jenga hates flat classes, the rest of the pictures have her with ears back, trying to kick other horses!

And how could I not post this one? The large mare being ridden western is my baby, Katie. I can't ride her anymore, and so the guy you see riding her, is the one lasing her. He wants to maybe buy her at some point, but I told she has a home with me for life.

And the smaller mare is me again. Don't mind my schooling attire.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Yay for Schae!! She looks great up there on Dancer http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Mom says hi and lots of hugs. That was sooo funny when Dancer layed down on Staceys saddle. I thought Stacey was going to have a heart attack, nobody was allowed to harm "Stella". That show was waaayyy too long. It was all my fault lol, had to ride in that last jumper class, in which we jumped and extra jump ended up getting disqualified. Good times good times.

Keep up the great work with Dancer http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I'm coming to visit at the end of Febuary (dad moved to Russell this summer). Do you know who has Cody now? I know Harmony Horse Ranch had him and sold him.

Pistol and I in our third dressage test *ever* and our first time doing a training level test--we ended up 4th with a 67%! Sorry the picture quality is a little bad--my mom took it from outside the ring and so I tried to blow it up and focus...it didn't work very well!

One last shot of Pistol (*MAN* I can't wait until May so he'll be back home!). This is my friend and I doing pleasure pairs last July. These two horses are so funny together. In the warmup ring they will not be next to each other, but once in the show ring they move exactly alike. Pistol & I are on the inside, and we won this class!

He usually comes back better, but he was a little excited!! Which is good I guess cause we ended up getting 3rd!

Bentley!

[*GASP*] Where does one find a warm-up ring like that which is:

(a) devoid of other crazed persons galloping around out of control, heading your way
(b) large enough to do more than a turn on the haunches in order to get to the jump
(c) so excitingly SPACIOUS -- more than four strides from the rail to the jump!
(d) not overflowing from the crowd around the contiguous show ring: grooms, parents, trainers, exhibitors waiting to go, exhibitors hanging around after their round, exhibitors in general being in the way, dogs, bicycles, golf carts, scooters and random ignorant pedestrians/clueless spectators/horse show victims?

(even if it is a muddy mess!)

I think that was the day my class was delayed because a port-a-potty went flying across the ring http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Woah awesome!! Where to you ride? What horse(s) do you have? I don't live around there anymore except occasionally when I visit my dad in Russell but I try and stay pretty up to date on everything http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We have a farm west of Ottawa (just past Kanata) and have 4 horses:
-Tin (QH)
-Reggie (Hann/TB)
-Brie (Hann/TB)
-Gali (Hann/Tb/West)
and putt around in the area shows (trillium maybe Quebec A's this year- fingers crossed!)

We used to live in Richmond where the Pot of Gold shows were held which is how I reconized it!!!! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

What about you? Do you still have that beautiful horse in the picture?

Almost fall, warming up before a game. I LOVE playing this horse, she always gives 200% and flies down the field.

Total horse addict :-)

Your horses are beautiful! I really love that picture of Reggie, what a cutie!

Unfortunately I don't have Cody anymore http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif When we moved to Michigan finances didn't allow him to come with us. He was eventually (about 7 months after I left) sold to Harmony Horse Ranch and then this summmer they sold him to a little girl in Kanata. Can you tell I've been trying to track him down? I'm going up there the 21st of Febuary to I'm trying to get ahold of his new owners so that I can see him. I miss my baby hehehe.

I attatched one of my favorite pics of him just for fun hehe http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Aw that's too bad you had to sell him, he is gorgeous! I hope you can track him, do you know his show name? I may be able to help; we live 5 mins from Kanata and I knew the owner of Harmony WAY before she bought the ranch http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Good luck!

Here is a picture of me and two year old catty at her first show, in december of 2001. We just went in the walk, trot pleasure class. We failed to have the loopy, pleasure rein as she was feeling a bit forward that day.

Let me get this straight. We're behind the rest of our class and we're going to catch up to them by going slower than they are? Cuckoo. --Bart Simpson

His show named used to be Confidential Combination. I'm not sure what it is now. I don't think he's being shown anymore. He's nearly 22 years old now http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif The girl that owns him I heard doesn't ride him too much. I'm waiting for the lady from HHR to get back to me http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thats cool that you know her! Back when she first got Cody she sent me a letter and included a picture of him. I was so excited http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif She's definately very nice!

oooohhhhh, having a scanner means I can finally post more than the overused 3 that I had of Bentley. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Here we are entering the All Canada ring at Spruce Meadows. I might look all happy and grinning, but it was just because I was thanking the sponsors, a few seconds later and you would've seen me definitely greener as I spotted the size of the first fence http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Oh, and they caught me mid-posting, so my saddle looks absolutely huge http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

Gosh, he was so purdy http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

And here we are on our way to fence #3, which looked about half the size of fence #1!

Of course we then had to turn around the corner and jump a skinny teepee jump directly towards the crowd.

He was such a keener going towards the fence. Believe it or not he's pulling my arms out here, he always wanted to get to the other side http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
