Taryn will attest to the fact that I have always thought Mark Leone would be An Ideal Man. You know, taller than me, rides well, not at all bad looking.
And you, ladies?

Mar. 30, 2001, 02:42 PM
Ah, back in my youth I had a "thang" for the younger versions of several decrepit gentlemen horsemen. Now that they're older (I, of course, have NOT aged) they don't seem so appealing.
It would just never occur to me to get the hots for any male rider these days. I guess I just assume they could only converse on horse-related topics, which I realize is a stereo-type, but a turn-off for me, nonetheless. However, I realize that you, Coreene, have no need for conversation and small talk! /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif You're much more a woman of action than I. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Now, if Mr. Merry should wind up forever lost in the jungles of Honduras next month, I might be persuaded to prowl the grandstands scoping out the male OWNERS of some of the show horses... /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Ooohhhh, one of my trainer's is really hot! And he's not that old, about 27, 28 I think. Only 9, 10 years older than moi!
Actually I wouldn't ever want to get with him, thats too much older for me, but I do enjoy admiring his rugged good looks /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Thank you Jane!
Me and my best friend at the time while down at Wellington watched him win the Bud Grand Prix. After winning and he was walking back to the barn we went up to him like two 15 year old girls at an N'Sync concert...("like Oh my God, Oh my God, can we LIke (giggle giggle) get a picture?") He was SOO nice...he just went "well sure!" and we posed with him...been in love ever sense.
McLain Ward....saw him also in Wellington was he was still pretty much a nobody. I personally didnt have the guts to go meet him that day but my girlfriend did. Just walked right up to him and introduced herself when he was talking to his dad. According to her, his dad was super sweet and kept talking to her, McLain didnt want anything to do with her....but I can understand.
He still my ultimate fantasy guy!

YES MJS... John Williams is a cutie. My friends and I dubbed him the "Infamous John Williams" a couple years ago in Tampa when we were fortunate to do a bit of partying with him a few others in the "inner circle" of eventing. It was a fantastic evening. *sigh* too bad he's married. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

but beyond physical appearance I really like it when a guy has an amazing rapport with his horses. You know, when you see them with the horse doing something loving and goofy and they think no one sees them. I find that side of them very attractive. David O'Connor has an incredibly sympathetic way with all horses. He's also cute and really nice. Karen is a lucky lady.

Who cares what someone looks like? The important thing is the bank account! It is so sad to see a lot of the "struggling" and working student riders out there dreaming away for prince charming to sweep them off their feet and ride off into the sunset on a string of Grand Prix imports...Guess what? Great! Now I'm going to be late to my psych class because I made the mistake of coming into this stupid forum and getting sucked into this post! Well, fine! Whoever said "blech" to the Euros - what are you talking about??? There are TONS of good-looking European riders! Granted, the top ones aren't exactly male models, but the unknowns that keep coming here to Spruce Meadows and reminding us all how to ride have been just . . . well, "scrumptious" comes to mind /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. And don't think I'm weird (everyone else I know thinks he's hideous) but I think that Marcus Ehning is a cutie! Maybe it's because I happen to have a thing for anemic-looking little redheads who can ride beautifully, but hey, that's how I feel about it! Okay, now I really have to get to psych (I WILL however be back later to help out whoever it was that was valiantly attempting to defend the delectable Rodrigo - what no one else thinks unibrows are sexy?).

Wow, I must look moronic grinning stupidly to myself over this thread. Anyway . . .
coreene - ah yes, that masterpiece of filmmaking, The Blue Lagoon! I can't decide what I liked about it best - the superb storyline and script ("Gee Em, you've been acting really weird lately, looking at me funny all the time and saying the strangest things. Are you coming down with something?") or the masterful acting (particularly the part where Whatsisface runs around on a beach holding coconuts to his chest and yelling, "Hootchy kootchy! Hootchy kootchy!"). Here's a little known fact I found out not too long ago, though - did you know that Christopher Atkins, who was the ridiculous teenage boy in the movie is/was an eventer? I don't know how true that is, but it did come from a reliable source! What did the person in your office think of TBL /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif?
heidi - woah, for a minute there, I thought you were talking about this guy who was stabled down the aisle from me all week at Brandon (now that I think about it, his first name is Sean, but I briefly thought it was Scott). I was about to squeak, "Okay!" Cute and very friendly-looking, although I didn't speak to him at all other than to bitch about someone in the warmup. So, Scott is a redhead, huh? You should have mentioned that - I would have ordered Rosie to take more pictures!!! There's just something about red hair . . .

Yawl are so absolutely wrong, wrong, wrong. First, you don't mention Poster Boy for Fabulous Dental Work, Mr Robby Johnson.
Then, you forget about those luscious polo players from Argentina (http://www.aapolo.com/)! What could be better, I ask you? Nothing. Or "nada, mi joliemom bonita," my new polo playing boyfriend would say as he rubbed my corn bedecked feet and brought me that Cuba libra. I love how he reads my mind.
Oh well, back to the plow cow.

As Duffy looks like Mother Nature. So pure and beautiful!
And Colin reminds me of my friend from high school named Kim. No lie, this girl defies all boundaries. Filed bankruptcy, drives a red Mercedes, lives in a trailer, shops online at Neiman Marcus.
"Fabulous Dental Work?" Surprisingly, there has been none save for one root canal in a molar. The teeth are au naturel ... their bright shade of white the only thing altered, joliemom. (I need to bleach again, thanks for reminding me!)
Another very handsome rider is Darren Chiacchia, who is an event rider. Very square jaw and bright blue eyes. His site is www.eventrider.com (http://www.eventrider.com). (I think.)

That out of all the trainers I've ever worked with, I thought the two Kiwis, Bruce Goodin and John Gray, were the most attractive. They, John in particular, were the most brutal teachers ("Oh Susie, thet was horrible!!! Come beck to that fince, and this time, use yer brine!!!"), but there was something about all that obnoxious masculinity that just made my head spin! I had the hugest crush on John, even though he was probably ten years older than me and a chauvinistic pig! Great - now I'm all paranoid that he's somehow going to come across this post.

Yup, although it was only very briefly. In addition to being two of the best trainers I've ever been fortunate enough to learn from and to being too darned cute for words /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, they had some of the most . . . innovative teaching methods around. When I wasn't cantering forward enough, Bruce was not above running behind me on foot, waving a dressage whip and yelling, "I'm gonna GET you!" John basically bullied you mercilessly into doing it right: "Oh Ker-rist! Do you know how bed thet was? I feel brikfest coming up!"
And although the Kiwi accent is adorable, I must say that I watched your reports from the Rolex, and secretly thought that your southern one was, to borrow a term from the teenybopper magazines, equally melt-worthy /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif!!!!
Incidentally, why the heck does everyone look at me like I need eye surgery whenever I bring up the fact that I think Rich Fellers isn't half bad-looking for an older guy? Is this just me? What the heck is up with that?

I actually read on some post somewhere that someone thought my old boss John Anderson was good looking /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif. Each to their own I guess.

I am surprised that Merry has not waxed lyrical about Rodrigo, given that he is along those Oded lines.

My fave is Mark Weissbecker. I call him 'my Mark' (not to his face!) and everyone who knows me knows who I'm talking about! He's not married, but is otherwise taken. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif He's very cute and very nice.
Imagine the surprise of my 'big name' trainer who I groom for, when I dropped the rail of the fence I was setting up for her when Mark knocked down a rail and asked me to get it for him! I RUSHED right over, 'Sure Mark, let me help you.' This happened in warm up for a one star awhile ago. She would have killed me if she hadn't been laughing so hard at me! I kept saying 'but he remembered my name!' dreamily, while she was nearly peeing her pants...

OK, do you really think my accent was Southern? Jair did too. I thought I was doing my best "I'm Steve Kmetko" voice. It's a good thing I didn't cut loose with the full-on accent, then! LOL!
Robby
I think you have a lovely accent.... /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Funny story about "that Turan guy"...
Picture this: I'm at WIHS in the fall of 2001, trying to hook up with my new cyberbuds Fairweather and Moesha. Fairweather is running late, but she tells me to be on the lookout for "a tall, good looking guy in a baseball cap."
So I'm walking up to random, good looking men, asking ARE YOU MOESHA???? This definitely got some mixed responses.
Finally, I spot this REALLY GOOD LOOKING guy in a baseball cap... Phew! It was the one and only - MOESHA!

erm hrmmmm.....I have to say i'm not a huge roderigo fan in terms of physical appearance, but he is an amazing rider.
All I'm going to say about the second pic, is if you, erm, how to say this without utterly subverting my opening statement, look a bit closer, you will see that there are some interesting VPL's...lets just say they're not where they should be (for a guy they just SHOULDNT be!)
------
the price of three AP exams? $243
sign up for two SATIIs? $26
binders and office supplies for study guides? $53
three horse shows through may? $ a lot
NoDoz pills to manage it all? $4.99
the sound of "pencils down" come last final exam? priceless.

I must start with... Hi Robby (My Buddy..) Wish you had been here this weekend. You were greatly missed!!!
But now, with my nationwide calling plan, you can update me on everything minute-by-minute! LOL! So glad you could be there for Shannon, though.
Any of these attactive guys single?? Back on the market... /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I don't know, but I found out about a John Deere tractor supply person in Morrillton who is single. I think he sounds promising. Call me for details! I mean, nothing is better than a fellow who will take you dancing and then fix your tractor when it breaks!<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

BOR,
Umm, well, I had to go look again, and could that be a dirt line/leather stain from riding? IS it a VPL or could it be a VSL...sloppily tucked in? I hadn't looked that closely until you called attention to it.
If not...that is one heck of a wedgie. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I totally agree with FlowerPower on the Mark Weissbecker. I won't go into details, because there are many.
Harold Chopping (sp) mentioned earlier is also in the Markie line. Classically handsome. Actually I saw him at the KY Horse Park last year and thought it was him. I thought, "He didn't even call to tell me he was here."

Hmmmm both of these men have at one time or another rented our farm /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I'm partial to Harold personally /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif , but Mark was huge hit with my housekeeper, who used to wander near the barn to try and catch him out sunbathing /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
