OK, let's see if this catches. I post on another board where a game similar to this took off...I think it was eventually closed by the moderators, it was over 15 pages of replies. Here's how it works, we start with a horse's name, and the next person has to find a name which starts with the last letter from the previous name. If the name ends in a number (like Poggio II) in that case you would find something next that started with 'o'. Any type of name from any type of horse is accepted. To make it a little bit more interesting, tell (if you know) a little about the horse who's name you are posting, even if it's not much. Maybe the horse's sport, rider, or whatever. (I know 'e' is a common thing to end with, but not so common to start with, so it's alright to repeat names if need be). Here's the first:

Big Ben - famous show-jumper ridden by Ian Miller of Canada.

Now, someone find something that starts with 'n' for the next name. Have fun!

Trakehner mare that I thought of for no particular reason. Here's a quote from "The International Warmblood Horse" by Debbie Wallin, Jane Kidd, and Celia Clarke.

quote:

Isola Longa by Tyrann, out of Isola Bella by Marduck XX. Dark brown Trakehner (1938). An outstanding mare family tracing to the main stud at Trakehnen, nobility, a large frame and clear overall impression are its characteristics. It is a top mare line and has also produced such stallions as the much-travelled Ibikus (1967) by Hertilas.

Obviously I have spent way too much time looking at warmblood bloodlines and this book. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I blame it on my mother, Dressage Queen and warmblood finatic. I really am more of a TB person, really! Their lines just aren't nearly so interesting. /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Ok, the confusion
TopBritYr you posted Ratzi
then I said Irishman II
the Serendipidy said Night club
to which I said Biko
then Sannois posted Idle Dice which was a late reply to you Ratzi
then you posted Epic Leap in reply to Idle Dice which was a late response to Ratzi, so we were really on O
but then I figured go with the flow and said Prince Panache after Epic Leap
the you said Epic Satin
but the Sannois said G Glenmoid...thats when I get really lost
