Heres another one to just check in and see this thread.
Gail/Robbie - glad to hear all is going well, will jingle curb chains for continued improvements for all.
Can't wait to see pictures of the perfectly named Ti Amo.

but I am happy to see after all of these years that you have finally come to appreciate all of my many talents, and acknowledge my value as a cherished family member!
I guess in hindsight, this is sort of a mutual "need" situation ...
I do drive by breedings - you look after my foal.
I guess sort of even-steven - huh?!
maybe if you are really nice Robby will want to meet you too?!

has been receiving a few special visitors from our own BB! On Sunday, GubGub came with Mr GG and Toddler GG - and very kindly took some pictures of his little majesty. It was very hot, and baby was in the barn, so the pictures are a little dark, but I have emailed them to Robby.
Then, today, our very own QUINN zoomed up the driveway!!!
It was so great to finally meet in person some of the friends I have made through this BB (and of course through our mutual love of our horses).
It's odd, all the preliminaries of friendship are well behind us - we have already laughed at each others' jokes and happy stories, cried at each others' losses and sadnesses... the only thing we haven't done is actually SEEN one another!
Thank you both for coming over to see Ti Amo. and for your kindness and support. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I went, I saw and I was impressed. He is beautiful! He has the most exquisite tapered head I have ever seen. Just a lovely boy. He is also in the BEST hands possible. A most enjoyable visit with a precious EQUITAINER in the front seat to accompany me home. Lily was pleased. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

And he is a very beautiful little boy. Tall, dark and handsome already, and very well mannered.
Thanks again, Fred, for your hospitality. It was wonderful to finally "meet" you after more than a year of emailing. The toddler is demanding to come back and see you (and the lovely puppy). Mr. GG is still goggling over the "guitar room." Now he wants to rebuild his computing continuum! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Other BB'ers have seen my 1/2 horse in person! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
That head is gorgeous, and the photographs I got (very dark and probably won't post well) show a VERY fat and healthy foal, who appears to be quite tall.
Having not seen Fred in person, I can't say if the tapered head is also his. Gail says Tea has Willow's dished head made over. She always reminded me of a fine oil painting. So refined and pretty!
Also, the photo shows a foal with a tail already almost to his hocks! I think he got Willow's "good hair."
I'm so excited to see him live. Just three more weeks!

He's so cute!!!!
Oh, I meant to mention, too, that last night I received, from the vets at the University of Guelph, the most lovely, handwritten sympathy card with a lock of Willow's tail and mane braided with pink ribbon. It meant so much. I didn't even care that Gail had chopped her mane with scissors! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (I am pulling manes when we arrive in Brantford!) We're going to take a few select photographs of Willow, along with the photo of her and Ti, and the mane and tail, and have them framed in a shadow box.

That head shot looks like he just got back from "Bright Smiles" or should be titled "Got Milk?"
He's adorable Robby and Fred. What a lovely legacy to Willow.

Gorgeous baby!
I tried to fix the photo's up a bit (lighten, but not really lighten) with a couple of really handy programs, but it didn't work /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif He's too dark against the dark stall wall!!!
Beautiful, though. I wish I lived in ON so I could go see him in person too /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Save the hallucinations for your next eq. class!
I'll be sure to take my Wally Digi with, and post immediately upon my return from my adventure north.

Ti Amo is a beautiful boy, full of charisma and character.
I read Dunhorse's post with great sadness and a very heavy heart. The foals are wonderful and a great joy, but the costs can be so great too.
The vet was out yesterday and checked my last two mares bred, both in foal. So that comes to six mares bred, all in foal for next year. Five of them bred to A Fine Romance, his sister, Cricket in foal to Landslide. I'm pleased of course, but that pleasure is not unmitigated, and mixed with apprehension.

like the rest of us horsey masochists, you move one, doing it for one more year! LOL!
Next Spring, perhaps, I can take a sabbatical and come stay with you for foaling season. Certainly we could feign a nervous breakdown on my part (shut up, Dezi, I hear you saying right now, "not hard to do, just make him eat a tuna sub in a traffic jam!") or something and get me Short Term Disability, so I'd still get paid. And I could telecommute with a laptop.
We'll bring the terriers (who will take care of the chickens for you) and Garnet and Robert can do music and you and I will do horses!
Robby
p.s. Thanks for the update! I can't wait to see more photos!

that is rather a low nervous breakdown point! (now, a meatball sub on the way to a meeting, wearing white,in a traffic jam, with your engine running hot, would up the ante)
Please do come, bring Robert and the terriers (although I would love to see a face off between Al the Attack Rooster and one of the JRTs)
better not hurt my pet chicken Chick and her baby Peep though...:(

Tin, I also immediately saw a horse's head, but, then again, I'm inhaling anything I can get my hands on. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif As they said in the movie Airplane, "I picked a bad day to give up sniffing glue."

Well, I'm posting from down here in Alabama, and the first thing the terriers did when we arrived on Wednesday was made a bee line for the henhouse and got underneath an elevated cage of "bitties." (Baby chicks, for those of you not from Alabama.) It's been crazy.
Gizmo Shane got lost yesterday morning on our walk home, and today all three lost me when a black cat took off through the trails. Thankfully, they all came back!
