I'm not proud to admit this, but I am addicted to eBay.

Anyone else ready to 'fess up?

This is a symptom of an iron deficiency! I had the same "problem" - to the point I was driving my family nuts. I was also eating a bag of microwave popcorn every night along with a glass of ice cubes. I heard on the radio that eating ice was symptomatic of iron deficiency. I thought, "What the heck, let's experiment." Started taking vitamins w/iron and believe it or not, the craving completely disappeared - almost instantly. My teeth are very happy now. So is my family!

Hey, don't you all know what they say about people who chew ice?? /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. Sorry, but it IS off topic day.
My addictions really aren't so secret. I have a weird obsession with shoes and belts. I don't even know how many I own of either. When people tell me they only have one belt or worse even, no belts, I pity them. I actually feel sorry for these people. And yet, they don't seem to mind. Very strange if you ask me.

Okay, this is how this works. Popcorn (a "white" starchy vegetable) actually pulls iron from your system, and as mentioned earlier on the thread, eating ice cubes is a symptom of an iron deficiency. See the connection? Now, I am HOPING there are some nutritionists out there who can refute this theory, but I trust the source who explained this to me.

Try an iron supplement, see what happens!

I forgot the guiltiest pleasure of all... my roommate and I have been known to blow an entire Sunday in our pajamas, eating Entemann's pastries and watching LIFETIME (he calls it "Televison for Women and Big Girls.") That, and I used to watch "The Third Watch" with the sound off. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I love Lifetime!! The Betty Broderick Story was an all time classic. When she rammed that suburban into their house, I almost wet my pants.

Gotta bump this one with a very recent (tonight) observation.

I apparently have a shoe/clothing fetish that I was not aware of.

I had to go buy some more under-bed storage containers today, thinking that my lack of storage space was just due to disorganization. Uhhh, nope.

At last count, I had over *thirty* tank tops, at least *twenty-seven* sweatshirts, and *nine* pairs of flip flops! This does not include the numerous sweaters I own (do I have to mention that it does NOT get cold here?), the seriously large amount of horsey clothing (you know, horse goober T-shirts and smelly jeans), dresses/skirts, pairs of "nice" pants, boxers, Victoria's Secret panties (I go through a VS spree about once every two months, who can pass up a 5/$20 deal?), and shoes... I have shoes I never even WEAR! but cannot make myself get rid of.

I guess I should also mention that I have *four* "under the bed" storage containers stacked in my closet for shoes and misc. junk that has no place to go.

I've had to get a laundry basket to hold my horsey clothing because there's no place for it to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear, this week... I'm cleaning out my closet. This is insane!!!!!! Except some clothings lots on Ebay or E-mail me if you want some cheap sweatshirts. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Well, I don't have many SECRET addictions, most are pretty obvious (horses, the COTH BB, etc)...

Thoroughbred racing /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif (well, my secret kinda got out when I taped the Breeders' Cup and spent approx. three hours drooling over gorgeous racehorses and cheering my favorites on to the finish in front of my family members)
Horses with French names (don't ask)
Doberman Pinschers /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif (DON'T TELL ANYONE!!!)
Good-looking riders who ride well /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (SHHHHHHHHH!!! I'd be teased more about this than the above)
Not really an addiction, but for some odd reason, I have fun peeling potatoes with a carrot peeler. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well, that's about it for SECRET stuff (which really aren't secret anymore)!

I have a serious addiction to buying flip flops - I cant help it, it cant be healthy.. Then I have this nasty habit of losing them, ugh.. also, this is so weird - I am obsessed with white shirts.. weird? I think so.. white collared shirts, tank tops, sweaters - its become so bad that I have to take my friend with me so she doesnt let me buy them!! also, belts, but not plain black and brown ones, oh no, ones with tropical fish and alligators and lobsters and red chili peppers and grateful dead bears and I can go on! I am such a dork with my obsessions! lets see what else, OH jeans!! and especially since I finally found jeans with a *35 inch* inseam from Jcrew, I am in LOVE!! Also, I am totally smitten by the horses out where I ride, especially Delighted's bad boys! Hm ginger ale, saltines, wheat thins, chicken salad yumm - yogurt, cookie dough - this BB, my music!! Counting Crows, LIVE (mmm curly haired Ed) and I watch ER, Will and Grace, and The X Files religiously.. hmm I guess none of this is secret to those who know me! I am also shamlessly addicted to chapstick/lip gloss of any kind.. I own like 40 tubes, and when I get sick of one I go buy more! also I am addicted to shampoos, the better smelling the more likely it is I will buy it - my shower is like a huge collection of shampoo bottles and body washes and face washes -can you be nasally fixated? /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I think i may be! hmm anyway thats all I am willing to admit to, Im sure there are more but I have way too much homework.. also, a new 6'1" dark funny obsession I have now too!! /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Oh, forgot a few: Candy corn (but only the orange-and-yellow kind); analyzing horse gaits and rhythm; and DEEP debates... "Deep" as in rollkur, not deeply spiritual, though rollkur debates can get like that too...

Okay, these are just the addictions that no one really knows about (though y'all know now)... I have a much longer list of all other addictions!
