I've been looking for new music to listen to, these are a few artists that I thought interesting, they're all female vocalists.

Have you discovered any new music that you'd like to share?

Little Miss Higgens - blues, with a Saskatchewan flair. lots of her stuff on youtube and here is a start: Radville (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I9hV0O9YB4) and yes, it is a real place and the bar is also real

Cyndi Lauper, the new version, no more the silly pop songs, but a true artist as she has aged.

Lately I've been trying to find more info on some of the people from The Voice last year. I was really impressed with Nakia and Xenia.

July For Kings, a band out of Ohio. Love this song and one called "Six Hour Drive" (among others). Wish I could find a youtube of the second song but all their albums are on iTunes.

I've been listening to The National a lot lately-rock, kind of dark. My inner teenage emo absolutely loves them.
Mistaken for Strangers- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgRsYkKb1eI
And another band that I just discovered opening for my favorite band ever at a concert a few months ago, Jukebox the Ghost. They have some fun, upbeat, poppy songs. Great piano pop-rock.
