I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with cats who have been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. What are the characteristics and indications?

When I was taking my cat to http://www.nevog.com/ MA., I saw many three legged dogs whose owners said they were up and running within days. Couldn't tell which cats were 3 legged because they were in pet carriers....

There are several pet cancer support groups on Yahoo, who gave great advice and support.

Good luck..

Osteosarcoma in cats
Osteosarcoma is also the most common bone tumor in the cat, although not as frequently encountered, and most typically affects the rear legs. The cancer is less aggressive in cats than in dogs, and therefore amputation alone can lead to a significant survival time.[14 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteosarcoma#cite_note-Morrison_1998-13)
