View Full Version : Primus fans?

I was pretty Primus-obsessed as a teenager, so imagine my delight when I learned, last week, that drummer Tim "Herb" Alexander lives nearby and advertises on Craigslist offering drum lessons. My 5 y.o. wants to start playing the drums, and I had to stop myself. I KNOW it will be better for her to learn from someone who is a teacher first and a drummer second, but it would be SO COOL to have her learn from such an icon.

I think I'd be taking lessons myself!

Yes a fan for more than 20 years now. We go to Les' wine release party every year, and have attended some of the NYE concerts. Les Claypool is actually from the town we live in and references it in some of his songs. My husband is actually a bass player and avid Sturgeon fisherman in the same area which I find kinda funny.

Anyway, I'd do the lessons myself, sound like fun!

The opening rift of 'Wynona's Big Brown Beaver' just popped into my head. :D

And yeah, I'm with everyone else -- I'd be taking lessons for sure. Even if it didn't last, just so you could say you trained with him.
