What is your favorite and most effective all natural fly spray? I have a mare with sensitive skin who dispises bugs! Or does anyone out there make their own fly spray? Thank you!

I like Clac Deo Lotion (I'm pretty certain it is completely natural?). I make it a little stronger than suggested and it seems to do a decent enough job on horses that are out 24/7.

We use 1 part white vinegar, 1 part Skin So Soft, 3 parts water in a spray bottle. Works best on mosquitos and gnats, not as effective on black stable flies.

Too bad Thomas was banned. He has an all-natural recipe that he will share when you make a donation to the Leukemia Society.

Mine is similar to kelsey97, except I add eucalyptus oil and citronella oil that you get from the health food store. Actually my proportions are different too. 1 cup skin so soft, 2 cups white vinegar, 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon eucalyptus oil, 1 teaspoon citronella.

People are always asking where the great smell is coming from. My horses!

I love deo lotion. I stretch it sometimes if I'm feeling adventurous with vinegar and SOS oil :)

This is similar to what I do minus the eucalyptus oil (I'll try adding that!). Great for gnats. :)
