Any COTHers have recommendations for some good schooling or low-key rated shows around Rochester? We're actually located in Geneseo, NY and wold prefer not to travel more than about an hour. My trainer has a few young sale horses she wants to have shown beyond our small local circuit, so we're looking to branch out a little (but still keep costs down if possible.)

Really anything hunter/jumper that has divisions starting under 3ft would be great. Thanks guys :)

A little further than you are thinking, but the Southtowns Summer Series shows around Buffalo and the southtowns are a nice series of shows. I can say Geneseo is within a very reasonable drive for 1 day shows so it might work for you.

There is an unrated show at BTRC on May 5. I'm sure they could send you a prize list....716-877-9295

Call Lehman Farms and Huntington Meadows to see if they have some unrecognized shows soon.

Oxford Hill in Honeoye Falls has a series of schooling shows in the summer. They have hunter and jumper divisions up to 3', but nothing bigger than that, I don't think. Schooling show, though, not like the "unrated rated" shows like at Buffalo. Not sure how low key/inexpensive you're looking for exactly...

We are running a series with BTRC and founded the southtown's summer series with her :)

35 mins from Geneseo.

Awesome, thanks everyone! And keep them coming :)

I don't think my trainer have any specifics in mind as far as pricing or just how laid back the shows are, they just want to get as many shows on the calendar so we have more of a selection to choose from.
