Just got diagnosed with this, yeah lucky me:rolleyes:

Anyone else have this? If you did, have you had the surgery to remove the parathyroid gland that was not working? Did you feel better at all once the surgery was done and the other parathyroid glands starting working properly again?

I am going for the sestamibi scan in about a week and probably looking at surgery the end of April.

I highly recommend ready Dr. Jim Norman parathyroid website. He is in FL. Surgery is minimally invasive, outpatient, rather than 7-10 days in the hospital with 6 or 8 inch scar, with not much guarantee that the diseased parathyroid is removed. There are a few other places in the US that do the surgery Dr. Norman pioneered. Mr. Jumper had the surgery (which turned out to be more extensive due to the size and adhesion of the tumor to vocal cords and thyroid) but it was still outpatient and he drove part of the way home from FL to OH the next day.
