While I drool over Cheval and LeFash, I'm a jumper, so can't really spend $170+ on one show shirt.

But I would like a white wrap collar shirt that I could get away with under a hunt coat, or with the collar open in the jumper ring.

Here's the kicker, since it might be worn by itself, I really want a nice quality shirt - nothing crazy, but it also needs to not be see-through. I'd been looking at the Romfh longsleeve show shirt (not the one with the zip collar) or the Ariat Triumph.

Anybody have any suggestions? Starting to show in just a few weeks!!! Thanks!

FITS show shirts are 50% off right now. I just got one and its the best shirt I have ever put on. and 68 dollars is not bad for a nice show shirt.

I think the JPC snap shirts are quite nice and very affordable at around $50.

Try the Essex Outlet. GREAT prices. http://essexclassicsoutlet.com/index.htm

Actually I just browsed and I don't think I see any snap collars. But the prices are still excellent and might be worth getting one.

I love my Essex snap collar shirt, (and their show shirts in general)!

Smartpak has some on sale right now...

Second this, I've really liked mine and I'm a clothes snob.

Third this.

DD's white herringbone is a great weight - no see thru, coolmax and looks as nice or nicer than ones I've seen for over $100. And it was <$40.

Do all wrap/snap shirts end right beyond the button line, like the essex shirts? Some of the links posted have shirts that it's hard to really see the collar. I really like the idea of the wrap collar but don't really like the look when it stops so short.

Thanks guys - I'll try the Warrenton ones and see how they work out. Might order one of the Essex from Smartpak too, and see which I like better. I was also looking at the Ariat Triumph shirt that Smartpak has.

Although it's nice to show in polos, especially when it's 99 degrees outside, I do have a few nice hunt coats I'd like to ride in every now and then, so I thought this might be a decent opportunity before it gets too warm.

kmwines01, I'm with you on the design of the snap collar, I've seen some that have the diagonal tapered wrap, so that when it's undone, it looks like a more normal pointed collar. But I've also seen a rounded edge, which I hate, and then not really a wrap collar at all, but just a square edge after the snaps, which also isn't terribly appealing. I couldn't really tell how the FITS ones closed, which was part of my hesitation with ordering that one.

I wish they had some better pictures of the Warrenton shirts in other colors and with the collar closed, but for the price, I guess I can't really go wrong.

Oops, one more thing - any guess on how they run as far as sizes are concerned? My other shirts are usually a 38, so just wondering. TIA!

I got the Warrenton for my DD and it is one of her favorite shirts - very attractive and fits well. It has the diagonal snap collar, I would say it runs pretty true to size and the price is fantastic. I would say that the only thing is that when you go to have it cleaned - tell the cleaner to hand press. Adds a few $$ to the cost but well worth not ruining the snaps with the machine press

The thread about the best shirts for those w/ long arms, which I am failing to find right now as I am trying to be sneaky at work, has some comments about how these run a bit big, with lots of extra material in the arms. Just so you know!
