View Full Version : The Ridge Farm - M&S Problem

Mar. 5, 2012, 02:20 PM
Just a heads up for anyone showing at the Ridge Farm Shows. According to a very credible source the shows are not current with their account at Marshall & Sterling League for the show year and points earned in any of the M&S classes will not count.
Several of us will avoid the future shows unless we know that those paid entries will count towards the rankings. What the heck is going on? The show year for M&S is now seven months along.
I think a portion of every M&S class goes to them to run the league. Does anyone in FL know of this problem at this or other shows? It's a waste of time to be in this league if your points are
not counted.

Maybe try talking to the folks at the show instead of posting here where few people will care if you got your points or not.

This. Your solid answer is a phone call away.

Bobbi in the office is great. We are going back tomorrow with clients. I would give her a call opposed to posting this on the internet.

There is no question the they have nice shows and are friendly people....however 7 months? We pay our fees and do expect that we get what we pay for. How is that unreasonable? What would you expect if you didn't settle your account at a show?
One would think that there are dozens of clients who will discover this at some point and dial them up. Been there, done that. Others can give it a go, or not.
Wish you the best, regardless...shouldn't have to chase stuff down forever. Guess nobody wants to hear difficult topics here.
No more posts from me. Good showing to all. Should be a nice, but windy, day.

Late on here but...

You are dead wrong. We LOVE difficult topics. But we tend not to like gossip and/or bad things said by 1 time posters who cite unidentified sources.

If it is true and you have the specifics, have confirmed your points don't count for the entire year? Say so. Say M&S have confirmed the show is in arrears.

Then we can chew on irresponsible shows that don't share such things for 5 or 6 pages and derail into an anti show manager thread. We do one of those about every 6 months or so.

But not based on innuendo and unnamed sources.

LOL F8. Its getting to be about time for a good management bashing thread again, isn't it. Especially needed is one started by a group that doesn't attend recognized shows.
Its much easier to make an annonymous negative post about some nice shows than to call management and ask the question about the points.
