Currently, my horse is going in the Myler Comfort snaffle with the low port and hooks. http://www.doversaddlery.com/myler-low-port-dee-w%2f-lifters/p/X1-01706/ However, with some bigger 'A' shows coming up, I'd like to switch him to something for acceptable for showing in the 3'6 hunters. The horse goes great in the myler compared to the full cheek slow twist he was going in previously. Horse is a big warmblood with a huge step that can tend to fall on the forehand and be hard to adjust to the jumps. Any suggestions to try? Thanks!

How does he go in that bit if you don't use the hooks (so it is just a regular snaffle). If he likes the mouth piece and doesn't need the effect that the hooks give, then buy the D-ring version.

Tried the D ring version, no luck :(

We have used that same Myler bit, but without hooks. We just switched over this week to a Dr. Bristol. We've used it only twice, but the bit was accepted well! You may want to give it a try. Good luck!

To get the leverage you are getting from the hooks, the only other thing is a pelham.
