Sinead Halpin Clinic recap @ Bow Brickhill-- Not just for eventers

Sinead gave an amazing clinic -- informative and fun for the riders. I'm a H/J rider, but have done several clinics with eventers and find them to be extremely informative.

The hospitality at Bow Brickhill was sensational -- the owner, John, and trainer, Tik, made sure that everyone felt at home, that their horses were well situated, and that food and beverages were in good supply.

My friend evented at the international level and rode with the team and he does clinics for hunter/jumpers all the time, they love him. We even have a high level dressage rider who rides multiple horses with him when he does clinics at our barn. A good all around horseman has something for everyone, regardless of their discipline, glad you are open minded enough to realize that.

Sinead is an awesome talent, you were lucky to have the opportunity to ride with her.

:cry: Last year we had the opportunity to have Sinead do a clinic for our local riding club, as her head groom is from this area, but a short-sighted woman with control over the purse strings decided against it. We couldn't convince her that it was an incredible opportunity that would attract lots of local eventers and others willing to pay (the club subsidizes clinic fees for members).

@ BAC -- Thanks for the kind words. I actually did not get to ride.:no: My friend did, however, and was kind enough to let me tag along as her auditor. I can only imagine how much I could have learned if I'd been able to ride with her. Keeping fingers crossed for a future opportunity.:)

EAY -- so sorry to hear that! The attendance at the clinic seemed quite robust, with all ages, levels, and disciplines. I'd guess, in part, that this might be because Sinead, like many other eventers, competes in jumper shows and perhaps there's some pull-though from that. Hoping that you have better luck in this respect in the future -- maybe if worth her calling the folks at BBH to get a better sense of the turnout, etc. :sigh:
