I have my Rouletto/Akzent II mare in foal to Rhodes Scholar - I'm hoping for a filly - I don't care if it's bay or chestnut, I'd be happy with either one. The other foal we will have here is out of the rescue TB mare that is in foal to Ravallo, but that foal is already sold to one of my friends, so the Rhodes/Ragazzi foal is really "MY" only baby next year.

I have a Prince Thatch xx foal coming from my newly imported Don Bosco/Furinos mare that I am really excited about. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Although she is due end of January...brrrr! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif I also have my pony mare in foal to Donarweiss ggf (De Niro/Hohenstein). We are hoping for a really nice large from this pairing. Donarweiss has one foal on the ground this year and wow can that little filly MOVE! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/yes.gif This one is due mid-April...much more pleasant weather!
Great topic...can't wait to hear about the others!

Well, because I got out of breeding and sold the broodmares...
I am expecting a Cielo B foal out of my TB mare (approved BWP) that I sold, but leased back for next year. Are you confused yet? Her first BWP foal by Lotus T just went First Premium and this mare has three previous foals that can all jump the moon.
Fingers crossed for one healthy colt with huge white stockings. So much for not breeding anymore.

LOL RioTex I know what you mean, I was going to retire the rescue mare after this foal and not breed her again, and then one of my other close friends who has had a ton of bad luck with her young warmblood being injured asked me if she could have a foal out of her too. I would have been happy for her to have a foal out of one of my imported warmblood mares instead, but no she only wanted one from the TB mare. So I'll be breeding her one more time, but that will be it.

Let's see...
We have a Landkonig foal due from the GOV approved Arabian mare, Sasha Bay who has produced two lovely Budweiser foals for us in the past.
We have a Grandom foal due out of the black GOV approved Arabian mare, Destinctive Miss.
We have another Bud foal coming out of the Arabian mare FR Bellatrix.
And finally we have one purebred Arabian foal due out by our stallion, Pavvo, and out of a Fame VF daughter (out of Sids Marjuri).
Should be an interesting spring.

Popeye K (Voltaire/Ronald/Farn) out of Raphika (Nemo/Regal Caribe xx/Mentetrier xx); will be reg'd Canadian Warmblood
Still may breed one more mare that is open for a VERY late foal.

Our Concorde/Celano/Notaris mare is in foal to Timebreaker (Heartbreaker/Calvados).
Here's Mom (http://community.webshots.com/album/65311461dKmhOG)
Here's Dad (http://www.boschfarms.com/timebreaker.html)
The ultrasound shows that the foal is bay with 4 white stockings (OK, maybe I was imagining).
But I do hope it will be a jumper!

Ohh, I love this topic too!
My TB mare (Storm Cat, Prince John, Steel Heart, Affirmed bloodlines) is in foal to O'Leary's Irish Diamond. She is quite a jumper, so I'm thinking the foal will be just about jumping out of his skin when born with all the jumper bloodlines. I hope I hope! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/winkgrin.gif

I have an IDSH due next year!!!
My IDSH mare Rose is in foal to the Selle Francais stallion Ilian de Taute. He is being campaigned with Ian Miller in the GP's, and is doing the AO's (I think) with Ruth Armstrong.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for a leggy black bay filly, and any white will be a bonus!

Ohh fun! You guys have some really nice sounding babies coming next year. I'm pretty excited about next year too. My GOV Deutschmeister mare is in foal to Rolling Stone. She's 3 for 3 premium foals so I am really looking forward to this cross. My elite Warkant mare and my Fuerst Gotthard x Kalypso mare are both in foal to Fabuleux. I can't wait to have all the babies playing in the field. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

My TB mare is in foal to Cantour for April 2005. Maple_Brook, if I will still be breeding my mare next year, I was thinking about Donarweiss. Rachel needs more pictures of him on her website. (Love the bloodlines.) http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I changed my mind on Rotspon, I decided I don't want to deal with frozen, I don't have enough faith in the vets in my area.

Now I am expecting two foals by my stallion Outrageous Fortune out of two tb mares I leased
Bayshim is by Montanet out of Silesca who is by Silent Screen
and Port Mary is by Big Kohinoor out of Soveriegn Ports who is sired by Portsmouth
Really looking forward to these babies, if one is a filly it is a keeper.

He is gorgeous and his trot is to die for! He is going to be at the NEDA Fall and I will try to take some pictures of him. I still have your email, so I will send them your way if they turn out! OH fun!!!
Okay, I have:
1) Stedinger - Replikah HF v. Regulus (Regulus has been really high on the USDF leading dressage sire list all year, Stedinger is siring awesome foals!)
2) Sempatico - Ripley v. Ascendant - guaranteed pinto (Ascendant has produced several nationally ranked show hunters and was owned by Hidden Creek for many years, so this should be a colored hunter!)
3) Royal Dance - La Championita HF v. Le Champion - guaranteed chestnut (I think I may have the ONLY Royal Dance foal coming in NA next year!! And I'm loving the bloodlines - Rubinstein, Donnerhall, Landadel, Furioso II!)
4) Opus - Will O The Wisp HF v. ES Walk on Top (Opus foals are doing SO well in hand and under saddle, with his first son licensed this year, and they sell for lots of $$$!!)

I do not know how often I already told this, but I can just once again manage to do again http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I hope to have:
Florencio - SPS by Prince Thatch xx - SPS by Lysander
and
Sandro Hit - SPS Rouletto - Prince Thatch
I am hoping for healthy one. The sex, well one one side I hope for fillies but on the other I might be than tempted to keep them, for colts it is completely clear, they have to be sold anyway...
I think my PT is homo... (Argh I never learn the word) for dark bay or black, so that one I think will be dark.
The Rouletto mare produced so far two very flashy ones with lots of chrome and on with only a tiny little star. So she is alwqays good for surprises, but with Sandro Hit it will also be dark bay or black.
But most important: healthy and the same type of quality the have given me so far.

I love this topic too !!! 2004 was half a success since my swiss warmblood mare end up being empty and 200 pounds overweight http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif but my canadian mare gave me a gorgeous canadian colt still growing and having a lot of fun these days !
For 2005, the bredding are:
1. Leena (Inschallah-Zeus) with Ducati, trakehner (Graditz-Merkur), chestnut, 17 hands.
2- Surprise (black canadian mare) with Dr.Pepper hanoverian (Drosselklang-Genever). grey, 16,3 hands.
Now both have been confirmed pregnant and are followed by a very good repro vet this year.

Well, I have 3 in foal - one never took after about $4,000 of trying.
1) Bugatti (Bergamon/Rubinstein/Donnerhall) out of Eleganz (Art Deco/Midnight Gal). Last year this combination produced the highest scoring colt in the country for ISR/OLNA. Bugatti is currently in training with Michael Klimke.
2) Comic (Come On/Platon/Grande) out of Kitty Colleen xx (Northern Baron/Snow Pro). Kitty produced a gorgeous filly this year by Bugatti. Comic is currently in training with Ingrid Klimke
3) Synod Ronan (Synod Goldsmith X Synod Rally X Synod William) UK Champion - Royal Welsh Winner 2002 AWR/ASP - 1st Premium Stallion, Site Champion, 2003. This cross should produce a gorgeous large pony. See Ronan at Synod Ronan (http://home.wi.rr.com/cedarcrest/herebeponies/ourstallion.htm)

Horsecrazy,
Nope, not the same Rose. Mine is Penmerryl's Rose of Piccadee, and was bred here in the US by Penmerryl Stud/Ken Pittkin. She is by Happy Ending RID, and out of a Hurok/Besomer TB daughter. She has two older full siblings somewhere in VA, Whispering Pines and Rosalea. I think they have Penmerryl's as part of the registered names as well.
I'm taking her to inspection in October, so hopefully she will pass, and the foal will be eligible for IDHS(NA) papers. If not, I can always fall back on the AWS for it, as she is an approved mare through them.
Can't wait to see these IDSH foals!

Yes, we will! I love Irish Horses ---well, ALL horses, since my name is Horse Crazy!! LOL I would love to see some really nice "dressage" type of Irish STallions......My mare moves very nice and has thrown some great foals (7) out of mostly, dutch, oldenburg, and an arabian! I have ordered videos in the past years on Irish horses, but most are SUPERB jumpers, but compairing their movement to some of the other stallions that I like, (Lord Sinclair, PAblito, Fortune Hunter Ect), I have just bred to other warmbloods instead of the ID, holding back until I find an ID that moves like that. I think the Irish have improved in movement over the last 10 years and I'm excited to see more dressage horses getting bred from Irish sires. You can't beat the dispositions and kind temperment. My mare scored 8's-9's on jumping from the Westfalen teams.....she scored 7's on movement, but it was judged undersaddle and she was only 20 days under saddle....(just started her to present her)....From AWS she scored high 7's and 8's on movement, quality and type. over all was a 7.78.....judged down a bit because of her "girth"...big girl. (not modern enough). But, has thrown some just lovely foals! I tried to get her in foal to Pablito....thought it would be a great cross, a refinment stallion compaired to her. But, she absorbed 3 TIMES! ERRRRRR never has done this before, usually my easiest mare to get in foal. But, last year she went through the Westnile Virus and I'm thinking that wore her immune system down a bit and it is probably still recovering. I like my horses to have size and bone......I Love TB's, but I like to own Warmbloods---the med.-heavy type is my favorite. So, she is my mare for producing those types of foals.
Would love to see some photos of some of the Irish horses here on our BB board.

Oh bummer....thought maybe we could be related! LOL
Do any of you Irish Draught breeders know of a mare named "Rose"...that is her full name. She was imported about 10 years ago, with the stallion Silver Granite and a band of other brood mares....here into AZ. I bought my mare as a 2 year old....she was brought over with this group....also, the Irish TB Stallion Lucky Santa, a ID stallion named Hienakin (spelling), and a pinto gelding Irish Cross, that Julie Sadowski shows at Grand PRix Dressage named Frankley Noble......nice horses. Fiesta Performance horses imported these guys.
Would love to know more on any of these horses.....maybe I'll post a new discussion on them too, to see if more people can help!

I am expecting three all by my 3 year old SMR reg. spanish mustang stallion Cayuse Gold all bred to purebred spanish mustang mares. My first mare, a blue roan sabino by Seqouyah is due March 21, then a bay roan sabino by Wardancer due March 28th. Last my bay roan sabero mare by Special Warrior. There was one outside mare bred this year...a ASPR First Premium QH mare that is expecting in mid April as well so we will get to see how he crosses with a QH. The stallion is a buckskin dun (dunskin) and we are eagerly awaiting his first crop. I will pursue ASPR/AWR approvals next Fall with him when he is more mature and ready for his performance evaluation.

I personally have 5 due next year. Somewhat disappointing since I procrastinated breeding my mares until it was too late in the season--was just way too busy getting everyone else's mares in foal. I am excited yet also sad since all of my mares are infoal to Sempatico--excited since it will be our first foal crop by him-can hardly wait and sad since I have no Art Decos (well maybe 1) no Hall of Fames, no Spectrums and 1 SOTA but that is a mare that I have sold. It's funny I had huge plans to get everyone to different stallions preggers early and then time just flew and before I knew it we where in July/August and on top of that I had collected/bred so much this year that if semen for one of my mares wasn't available I just didn't have it in me to go out there and collect again.
So I have infoal the following:
Abracadabra Premium OLD NA Art Deco mare to Sempatico - 50% chance at homozygus 100% pinto foal.
Decos Favorite Premium OLD NA Art Deco mare to Sempatico - 50% chance at homozygous 100% pinto foal.
Wrickster Elite Han mare to Sempatico, will be a pinto foal
Eleanor Premium Belgium WB to Sempatico, will be a pinto foal
Celebration Old mare by First Class to Sempatico, will be a pinto foal
I intended to breed Eleanor to Art Deco and did once-no go the second time didn't have the semen and did have Sempatico so switched. I bred my TB mare by Bit of Class to Spectrum 2x's, she has the NICEST foals with him and it was a no go. I bred my Hol x TB mare to Semptico and then to Deco and was not preg with the first go round and maybe preg the last time with Deco, but I think she looked in heat today. I could never catch my other Art Deco mare in heat to bred her nor my new TB mare. My Castle Magic TB mare I think is now a pasture ornament and Heaven, my wonderful paint mare is now officially retired at 25, though I know she would love to be a mom again I just think it is too much now for the old gal. Next year I swear I am starting in March!!!!! http://chronicleforums.com/images/custom_smilies/sigh.gif

Well we have 4 foals coming for 2005.
The first two are due in Feb (brrrr) by our cremello TB/CSHA stallion Guaranteed Gold and are out of a grey TB/CSHA mare by Raj Kapoor xx and this foal will be buckskin or buckskin that will grey. Will make a nice event foal.
The second is a bay sabino Puchilingui daughter out of a Briartic dam named Artic Squaw xx. This will be a repeat of a palomino and buckskin foal she has had from Guaranteed Gold and maybe some chrome this time? http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Will produce a nice hunter foal?
The third foal due in March(still brrr)is from our lovely Budweiser daughter Brahaus(Oldenburg) and by the palomino leopard warmblood stallion Agmemnon. Will make a nice and hopefully coloured jumper foal.
And last but not least foal is due in May by Guaranteed Gold out of our bay and white sabino dual reg. Spot Pocket xx daughter PrideandPrejudice. This will be a palomino or buckskin foal and possibly sabino too. This should make a nice hunter foal.
So thats it for us.....should be an exciting spring and hopefully some coloured foals to fill the barn http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Wow, such a fun read! I love to learn from other breeders and what they cross. I hope to be able to see pictures of all these great crosses.
I have one foal due in 2005, by Sandro Hit out of my Brentano II mare.
Alexandra, I have heard that Sandro Hit produces black and dark bays. I did see one out of a chestnut mare that looked like a blood bay. Why is it said he throws dark foals? I would love a dark foal from my chestnut mare. Have you seen others? Thanks! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

We are expecting a TB Race Prospect out of Nora's Gal, an Anglo Arabian Sporthorse Prospect out of BA Enah, another Appy Sporthorse out of Band's Ginger Snap, and another Appy Sporthorse out of Rocketta Glow - all sired by Katahdin! I can hardly wait to see what he puts on the ground next year after this year's amazing production!

Hey Black Stallion, one of the best horses of my life was an anglo-arab gelding I had over 20 years ago. What a mover, extentions that would blow you away & would trot over the bed of a pickup truck if you wanted him to (not that I actually did that). That is one cross that doesn't get nearly enough attention in my book. I have a SPS hanoverian mare (Walt Disney/Duellant) that is bred again to Rotspon for next year but I swear I am really wanting to try her with a shagya arabian. I had one hanoverian that was by Carzdas out of D line mare that I really loved.

South GA Hanoverian Breeder,
There is a lot of new interest in Anglo Arabians since the development of the Half Arabian Sporthorse classes, which we are aiming for. We got quite a few inquiries from Arabian mare owners this spring, so it'll be good PR for our sire to show the Arabian owners what he can do for their breeding program. Katahdin also shipped to another Arabian mare, so he will have 2 Anglo Arabian foals in 2005. I tell everyone that the most beautiful horse I have ever seen was an Anglo I met on a large trail ride many years ago - so this foal is planned to be a "keeper", but he/she already has several people asking for first refusal. It's going to be a very exciting year! Good luck with your mare!

Horsecrazy,
For dressage movement in an ID stallion, take a look at KEC Double Diamond. He is a wonderful mover, and is moving up the levels with his owner/rider.
You can see him here (http://www.adsagsona.com/Adsagsona/Career.htm) and here as well (http://stargatesporthorses.com/)
Our TB filly has been approved to be bred to him in 2005, and it is an option we are still exploring. We are definately wanting to breed to him, but we may wait till 2006.
There is another ID stallion Olearys Irish Diamond (http://www.irishdraughthorse.com/) who is going Prix St. George, and consistantly throws his movement, from the foals I have seen.
Also, Snowford Bellman and Glenlara are both excellent movers, but may not be as "warmbloody" as you are wanting. Both are worth taking a look at, and you can find their info here (http://irishdraught.com/stallions.html)

Sandro hit is known to be homoze... (somebody has to help with that word; as already said I never will know how to spell it, maybe I have to put a post it with it on my computerscreen).
Anyway it means that he will only produce dark horses because of his genes, either dark bay or black. Additionally I have not seen so far any loud colored Sandro Hit foal. Even out of my mare which is very colorful and both first foals had lots of chrome all I got was a star in the face of the filly.
So you can be sure you won't get a chestnut or grey, latter unless your mare is grey.

Alexandra,
it is HOMOZYGOUS http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif and Sandro Hit is homozygous for black, means he cannot throw chestnuts, but if bred to grey, these bay or black foals by him can go grey at 50%. Grey is a gene that has nothing to do with COLOR, it masks the original color. The color genes are still there.
My foal list for 2005 is up on the foals page at http://www.gestuet-falkenhorst.de/gffoals.html. So far 15 mares are checked in foal, the three outside breedings NOT in foal. http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

We have 5 Dutch Warmblood foals coming next year...
1) Navarone (Jus de Pomme) out of our Keur Elite Mare Miloma by Goodtimes. This bloodline cross was #2 in the nation last year at the keurings with Taloma and I have not been able to get Miloma in foal for 2 years now, so I am really excited about this one!
2) Prestige (Silvano) out of our Keur mare Obertede by Glenridge. Another one I'm excited about as Prestige is really a special young stallion. I just got back from a trip to Holland and looked at a bunch of them and they are really special.
3) Sheraton (Indoctro) out of our Keur mare Larinette. We almost lost our mare Larinette last year due to an unknown infection. I have a 2 year old stallion by Indoctro out of her that is really special and Ilove the young Sheraton offspring I've seen. I think they will be really special, so this one is exciting for me too.
4) Flemmingh out of our mare Uloma by Farrington. This is Uloma's first foal and Flemmingh is just a favorite of mine. We just bought a Flemmingh filly to have for breeding here on the farm. Flemmingh almost had 2 stallion sons in the Olympics and really just one of my favorie for making nice offspring for dressage and super temperaments and gaits. I've already presold this foal.
5) Oh heck I'm excited about them all! ;-) I'm really happy with my picks and what we have coming next year. We have a Tenerife (Raphael) out of our star mare Jenni by Grand Slam. I just love Tenerife. Another young stallion but he impressed me so much at the stallion show last year. I had hoped to buy a Tenerife colt in Holland, but we ran out of time. The ones I saw at the foal championships were just beautiful. Very pretty foals with pretty heads and eyes.
Is it foaling season yet? ;-)

Check back next year. I might be in the same hospital room as Bill Clinton!
wow Tom, and I thought I had it bad with 5 mares!
Anyway, I saw Wyclef Jones at the Auction, what a nice stallion! How do you like the foal of his?
Any your Londonderry filly? I am crazy about mine and just bought a mare by him (Londonderry/Weltmeyer) in foal to His Highness.
Best of luck!

We're planning our 2005 foals at the moment but that's coz our 2004 foals aint here yet http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
We have three mares due this coming season and the countdown has begun for us.
Our Clydesdale mare (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/Loopylou/Mares/db_wee_bandw.jpg) is carrying a purebred Clydesdale foal (our first purebred foal) and is due early January (so I guess this IS a 2005 foal). We have a lovely TB mare in foal to an ISH stallion called Mighty Heights who is a really lovely SJ/Event horse (GP SJ, 4*) and she is due in a little under 4 weeks. Finally our ISH mare (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/Loopylou/Mares/maude.jpg) is in foal to our very own Hamish (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v35/Loopylou/Hamish/Hamish_nice_halt.jpg) - This foal is about 6 weeks away from due date!
Good luck everyone - there are some lovely sounding foals on the way for y'all!

Hi Linda,
The foal by Wyclef Jones is a very good one. Very good basic gaits and excellent conformation -- and a super laid-back attitude, too.
The filly by Londonderry is simply spectacular -- elegant, a super mover, and, as somebody described her yesterday, serene.
Videos of these two foals and pictures / descriptions are available at http://www.morningside-stud.com/generic70.html
Best of luck with your Londonderry/Weltmeyer mare.

Its so cool to read about everyone's expected foals!! I've seen a lot of stallion names that I've never seen before, so its fun to learn about them here.
I got a late start this year due to moving this spring, but did get both my mares in foal for June babies. Its going to be agony waiting while the rest of you are posting baby pics! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
Anyhow, I am really excited about both these foals. My new chestnut TB mare (who is probably sabino) is in foal to Balta Czar. And my GOV approved TB (Raise a Native, Bold Ruler lines) is in foal to Sempatico.
I'm coming off a long streak of owning only plain bay horses, so this year I'm hoping for some flash! http://chronicleforums.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I have only one due, probably around the end of May.
A TB mare with Secretariat and Northern Dancer on top and lots of Native Dancer on the bottom. Bred to Voltaire.
I would love a bay with white, with my mare's personality under saddle and some of daddy's scope and hind end and shorter back!

nls,
I would love to see pics of your consul mare, I had a beautiful Bay mare from Consul x Absatz.
I breed her to Dream of Heidelberg who is a Donnerschlag son. Out of that parring I got a Black colt who I then prepared for the Keuring in Germany, He was accepted! What a nice stallion he was. She also had a very similar daughter who I then sold to the U.S.
The last colt I breed out of that mare is standing at a stallion station preparing for the Keurings this year. He is by our Quattro stallion (Quantus) who sadley passed away last x-mas. Good luck with your Consul Mare, I would like to see pics if you have any,
Jennifer

I missed out on the filly by this cross this year - absolutely awesome! So, this will be a full sibling to that one. Should be Black & White also!

thank you HSGF! I really hope so! Crick is Fred's full sister, and Iroko ..well he's leavin' town pretty soon!
I'm feeling a bit blue right now about the other two mares. Sadie, Jeweler's Mark had a stunning colt this year, and got right back in foal.. Oohlala, out of my dear Lucy, Fred's other sister who died last December..I was really hoping for that baby.. my first experience using frozen semen not a happy one.
oh well, it's not Boznia.

We just have one foal coming next year, haven't replaced my WB mare yet, so the one we have coming is out of our TB mare Miz Yenko by Zen by Damascus [Teddy line] by our stallion Ironman who is by Inselfuerst by Inschallah. We are excited about this, as our first by this cross, Ironstar, is 4th on the USEF list for yearlings in HB, as well he jumps--everything, and anything he can find, and unfortunately occasionally the 4'6" pasture gates. So next year we will be busy catching 2 of them.--Nancy

Oh- this is fun. Wow, some great crosses! We have two mares expecting this year. Our TB ( Secretariat grand-daughter ) is in foal to Tramino ( Mirrabrook Farms) and Our Han ( Elute daughter) is in foal to Freestyle. As the rest of you know, it is a thrill to have these babies and I am always looking forward to the great possibilities. Kudos to all the owners who keep and promote these wonderful stallions. Jan

None! I'm over and done with babies and I will MISS IT SO!!
Age, time and lack of consistent, dedicated help with the farm/horses forced me to face reality and finally stop. The boys will continue to breed to outside mares though.
BUT...my last foal (2004) is about the best baby I could ever imagined, so for that I am blessed. Looks, type, character and athletism -- could not have asked for more. She's by Boleem out of a Bit of Class champion show mare (free leased).
I'm afraid that my foal addiction will be fed vicariously through all the wonderful mare owners who will have babies by my stallions next year and I'll midwife via the internet!
<span class="ev_code_RED"><<snip>></span>
But after almost 20 years of doing this...Man am I going to miss it!
