View Full Version : Where do eventers shop for dressage saddles?
Jan. 4, 2012, 11:08 AM
I've got a Prestige dressage saddle to put on consignment.
Prestige has somewhat fallen out of favor with the hardcore dressage set, but they fit TBs wonderfully and the jumping saddles are popular with eventers, so I thought I might have better luck at an eventing-oriented tack shop.
Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

For used, I peruse fine-used-saddles.com, Trumbull Mountain, Pelham Saddlery, and eBay.
Ann Forrest of Equestrian Imports is who I work with for saddle fit, and she will take saddles on consignment. She sent me a Prestige to look at a few months ago, in fact.

middleburg tack exchange
Also, this time of year, the tack shop in Aiken http://www.oakmanorsaddlery.com/ seems to sell a lot

I got my prestige dr. saddle at Middleburg Tack exchange. They are where a lot of eventers shop.
I just sold mine to a gal in Canada who found my ad on tacktrader.com. The resale on them isn't super and I decided that it was better to wait for a buyer to come to me rather than involve a consignment agent, which would have cut into the money coming to me.

I bought mine from Ann Forrest.
and I'm pretty sure we shop for dressage saddles at the same places as real dressage riders.
Even though our saddles our out of style...:rolleyes:
lovely horsie in your profile, BTW.
