Hi all,

I know there has been a lot of talk on here about the Ecogold memory foam half pad, but I am wondering if anyone out there could tell me how it compares to the Prolite pad (http://www.dutchessbridlesaddle.com/shopitem.cfm?itemid=409&dispcat=101)?

I have been using the Prolite on my gelding (borrowing from a friend) and I really like it. I like the way it seems to distribute pressure evenly over the horses back, and act as a shock absorber. I was thinking of buying my own, but after reading the rave reviews of the Ecogold memory foam pad on another thread, I am trying to decide between the two. My one concern is how much the Ecogold pad squishes down under the saddle? I like that the Prolite is pretty solid and and lifts the saddle a bit (it stays about the same thickness even when under the saddle) - is the Ecogold softer? How thin does it get when you are sitting in the saddle? Any other reviews of either, good or bad?

Thanks in advance!
