It's very cool they included Hickstead - nice of non-horse people to remember we are a team and the horses are athletes too!

A lot of people don't realize that this is just a poll on a Journalist's blog...so it's not the actual voting process to determine Canada's athlete of the year. The actual award is voted on by a panel of judges. Still fun to do anyways though! ;)

Well, we can say this would be the popular Athlete of the year rather than from the professional who would choose a hockey player, a baseball player or some other unknown (to me) athlete. I am still voting for them!
