Does anyone still make one in this color? I haven't seen one around. Would need a size 4.

I have an RJ that was made in 2007... it might still be around either through consignment or someone having one in a backroom. Mine has a very subtle mint lining. I love French blue coats; I don't know why they aren't made that much any more.

Same, I think they look nice! I might just bring them back this season if I can find one.

A few years ago Tailored Sportman made a gorgeous French Blue plaid with a subtle violet line through it, it was stunning.

All people have to do to make them "in" again is start wearing them. :) I, for one, think French blue looks amazing on many colors of horse. Of course, I like dark chocolate, too.

I agree that if more people start wearing them they will be In again.
I really like them. Start wearing them.

I also had one by RJ classics. I sold it when it no longer fit- well, a year after it didn't fit because I loved it so. If I could find one that better suits my shape I'd get it in a heartbeat.

Shoot - none left in my size. I will have to troll the used coats. I would love an RJ classics since those fit (IMO) better than the TS coats. TS coats always fit me kind of boxy.

JustWorld International rider ambassador coats are French blue (I think? Can't think of a better way to describe the shade) - become an ambassador and wear french blue with a cause! :)

Edit: No, never mind, I don't think I can get away with calling it French blue...way too bright. Either way, it's a good cause!

My favorite coat is a french blue with a gorgeous lining to match. It has a very light gold pin striping. Its an RJ Classic that I bought in 2007 or 08. It was a treat to myself for when my mare was ready to move up to 3'. I was so proud of that thing. Needless to say my mare got injured and we never did show again. Have a new filly now and hopefully this summer I'll get to actually take the tags off and wear it.

I also have a Grand Prix in French Blue. It is two years old, but my favorite. I wear it all the time. The one color I am a little wary to wear (pardon the pun) is hunter green. I still have it, but haven't worn it in a few years. Thoughts on hunter green? Should I pack it for FL?

There are not many coat colors I don't like...other than ones I have a personal beef with (herringbone brown...thank-you very much. Or really any brown...they make me look like death warmed over). I just got a chance to wear my pale blue coat (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g14/slorugbug/Elf/Elftrotting.jpg). I'd been wanting one for a long time and found this last year. I need to get it tailored, though...it's too long. I usually wear a short and it's a long but I bought it anyway because I REALLY wanted it and it was the only one left. It's SOOOOO not "in" but I don't really care.

How much would you want for it and what size?? Feel free to PM me... I'm constantly looking for that 2nd show coat but have yet to find one tiny enough that I like the quality and look of. I love the french blue jackets... Not too bold, just right IMO. I might even try to be bold and wear one in an eq class, although that'd take some serious enabling. I have a pale blue coat (http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2348374940094686761SOrfIB) that I'd been dying to get for eons (maybe it's easier to see here (http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2769095810094686761rEqpGK)), but in all of the stretchy/washable/retro coat play of the summer I never brought it back out this year. It's just a hair darker than mine...may have to keep an eye out this year. Uh oh, I think I may have a hunt coat problem

I don't know if someone posted this one on Beval yet or not. It is french blue.

I looked at the one on Equestrian Collections by Grand Prix - what sort of material is that? It looks a bit different and the texture seems odd - i think it is solid with no striping in it but I can only see the arm and not the full view.

Does anyone have more details?

I think it is high time we wear colors in the Hunt seat and Dressage classes.
The black and navy are fine for more formal dress. But the days of being in mourning for Queen Victoria's husband Albert are long gone.
I see beautiful Hunt coats in the pictures from the European horse shows.
Not that we ever should wear lime green but there are so many lovely colors that go well with the horse's colors. I love the Hunter green coats with a tiny pin stripe. Sage sounds beautiful too.
I think if a color goes well with the horse's color and it is in good taste then wear it.

I have a french blue (a bit dark though, for a french blue) R.J. Classics hunt coat. I have gotten so many compliments on it and it's really rare that I see anyone with a coat anywhere near the same color. I love it! :) It has very subtle pink/light blue plaid that you can't see unless you're right next to it. The lining is a lovely pale blue to match.

It looks a bit lighter in person:

Not to highjack the thread, but I have two Allon coats, that were custom made for me a couple of years ago, that I love! I live in NC and my contact in CA that I had for them, no longer works with them. Does anyone know of another person to contact? They are beautiful and so well made!

Does anyone know where to find a sizing chart for Grand Prix coats? I'm on my 5th page of Google searching and haven't found one, but am wondering if I could wear an adult size (my current one is a child's 14, I think, haha!).

Maddie wears a 4 and you guys are close to the same size.....

Uh oh. I was wondering if I could get away with a 10S, but that makes it sound less promising.

I wear a 12S (slim not short) and you look like you could fit in one of my sleeves, supershorty  I'm guessing that a 4 or 6 would be a closer fit. Maybe you could call Dover or Farmhouse Tack or some other distributor to find the sizing? I've only ever seen size charts that start at 8.
