Any suggestions for quality farriers in the Ocala area for hunter/jumpers? My farrier has passed away and I have a full lesson and boarding barn.

We cannot be more happy with our farrier Cristobal Castro. He was trained in Europe and shoes (hot shoes) both our performance horses as well as trims our youngsters. He and his wife could not be nicer and take into consideration the whole picture regarding the horses' performance needs.

Here is a link to his information on our website (http://sakurahillfarm.com/horses.php?HOID=112).

Last time I asked Shane if he could do my horses I was told he was no longer taking on new clients. I am in the same boat Hunters Edge! :(

Brian Leith is unbelievable, he's done wonderful things for all of my horses. I don't know if he's taking on new clients, but I can find out. PM me if you're interested.

Try Andy Evans - I use to have him up here in the north and did horse shows as the farrier. Then moved to Ocala our lose your gain !!!!!

I highly recommend Lyle Jenkins. He is local to Ocala, does a wonderful job with the horses and is reliable. Here is a link to his site with his contact information.

Randy Boyd was tragically killed last week. I am STILL in absolute shock. I can't get my head around it.....Sincere sympathies to those who loved him and we will all miss him....

I have to agree with OAK. Andy Evans does my horses and he's the best in my opinion.

I would have to respectfully disagree regarding this farrier.

Again, so sorry to hear about Randy. Tragic...

Lyle is wayyyyy overpriced. $200 for shoes and $40 for a trim and that was last yr.
