View Full Version : Look of white breeches?

So I have these (http://www.smartpakequine.com/the-tailored-sportsman-professional-lowrise-breech-2557p.aspx?cm_vc=Search) breeches in white, and when I tried them on you could clearly see the "darker" white of the pockets and another strip of fabric that runs up the leg by the seam(can be seen in the picture on the ad if you magnify it). I could not, however, see my RED underwear through them, so is the "darker" white of more fabric underneath normal? I'm new to the whole white breeches thing....in case you can't tell. :) Thanks guys!

I think it goes along the lines of the white shirt, nude bra rule :-)
I've never tried on white breeches so I can't comment on how others compare with showing the pockets and seams. However, if I had those, i would buy a thin under layer to wear with them, like the shapers pants you can find in Dover, if they come in white. Then it would probably look more uniform. Or, depending on how distracting the seam lines are or are not, you could just sew the pockets shut and cut them out.
