Anyone have them? If so, what do you think? How does the calf run? Are they toasty?

Let me know how you like them. I am debating on a pair of winter boots after freezing my toes off last year.

I <3 ariat bromonts! Super warm, comfy and not blockish. Hardly bigger than normal tall boots. Have held up to 2 years of daily riding and barn chores.

I have the Middleburg brand (Dover's) version which looks identical to the Treadstone. I love, love, love mine. They made it through last winter barely looking broken in (never mucked in them- just for riding). They are so cute I actually wore them around town with jeans tucked in. They are fairly warm- I "up" the warm factor by wearing ski socks underneath. Only real downside 1) not fully waterpoof and 2) no real ankle support (totally floppy). Still- for the price, I think they are great.

I actually have both. I like them although I second the zero ankle support. I put insoles in as well and I felt little sole support or padding as well. they are cute enough to wear around town as well although most of the people I know ask me why I have my riding boots on to go out :). I'm pretty tempted to put the bromonts on my list, everyone recommends them.

I got them today, they were so lovely! The leather was very soft, and a beautiful color...Unfortunately, they were too small on my leg between my ankle and my calf, so I will have to send them back -- maybe 30lbs from now....

I just ordered the Treadstone Aspen and the Vale boots for my shop. As I understand it, the difference between the boots is the Vale not only zips (down the back) but has also an elastic gusset going down the back as well, offering a more custom fit. The Aspen is a side zip boot. I can't wait to receive them. This brand of boot offers outstanding quality and the company backs it up. I speak from experience. I would highly recommend trying a pair.
