What brand is your favorite show coat? Any ideas for a coat that can be worn in jumper and eq classes & and still work ok for the hunter ring?

I have a jacket right now that I bought for lower level hunter classes and I'm not happy with it. I feel like it has a frumpy, boxy fit. I also do equitation and I am starting to do more jumper classes. The coat I have right now is in the middle-of-the-road price range, so I'm at the point where I'd be willing to spend a little more for better quality.

I have two favorite coats:

1) Navy Pytchley - fits like a glove. I look so good in it!

2) Taupe Ariat coat - I wear this in summer and bought it off the display mannequin for steal!

I love my Ariat coat as well, fits so well and it's not super hot at all. I also have an RJ Classic's that I love. I have one from the Diamond Collection but my friend just purchased the Soft Shell from the Platinum Collection and I am drooling over it. It's so nice, and unless you feel it you could never tell it was a soft shell. It's #1 on my Christmas List

I love my soft shell Grand Prix. It has a velvet collar and four silver buttons. I've worn it in all three rings :)

More love for the grand prix. I have a soft shell and a traditional wool. Both are great and fit wonderfully

So you got away with that in the hunter ring? I've just run into some hunter judges who are so darn picky.

I would never wear anything but a Grand Prix!!!! They are pricey but ya get what ya pay for! They are the only jackets that don't strangle my shoulders. Plus they come in lots of colors and all that good stuff.

I really like my softshell Grand Prix, but I'd like it even more if it was one of the washable ones.

But the coat that has my heart for now and forever is my Animo coat. I. am. in. love.

When you have the sleeves rolled down it's a relatively conservative coat (http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2656054410094686761LzQWQd). But when you have them rolled up you get the pink inside (http://pets.webshots.com/photo/2593932090094686761pbFHHl) and it transforms into my dream coat :D

Where did you get your Animo?! It's beautiful!

Thanks! I bought it from an Animo dealer up in Canada at a show. I picked up a pair of Animo breeches at the next show and I'm just as enamored with the breeches as I am with the coat.

And I finally got brave enough to wash the coat in my washer and it came out looking great!
