I have two of these saddles to sell after a friend of mine died suddenly. I'm looking for any information anyone has, an age range would be great.
The Jimmys has the number 2448 and made in England for Jimmys 20th Century in Skowhegan ME

The Griffith was made in England for Griffith saddlery in Ontario.

My Jimmys with a 2944 serial # is over 30 years old. Jimmy hasn't been based out of the NE for a VERY long time, so i would guess the one you have is at least as old as mine. He was very popular back then. To my knowledge the serial #'s went in order of finish, but had no other correlation (ie, year).

We have a Jimmy's at our tack store, it's been there for years and years. I love it and I wish I had a good reason to buy it. In fact, sometimes I think I should have gotten that instead of my lovely Hermes. I think I would have gotten the same result for a fraction of the price. I can't imagine you'll get much for it though, I don't think too many people realize how good it is any more.
