My friend is interested in buying a 6 yr old OTTB. He is KY bred, and named "Ticket Broker". Can anyone help me get race records (# of starts/if he ever was vanned off/any race or win pics) for her? She just wants to know if he was really heavily raced/long term layoffs, trainer w/bad rep, etc. She will get a PPE.

Thanks!

UPDATE- PPE scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed he passes. He's a really neat horse that would like a career change, and deserves to have a non racing home for life..

Update 2-Passed PPE !!! Vet said he'd never seen one so sound after racing, and that he couldn't find anything to fault him on. Even said, if she doesn't buy him, to let him know, as he knows some people that would love him. He's a really neat horse. Vet said he was feeling good, and playing around when jogged, but as soon as he picked up a leg, he was all business and stood like a statue through everything he did. My friend is really excited!

Update 3-Ticket Broker arrives at our barn tomorrow! My friend is really excited. He'll be starting his career as an AA Hunter. His previous racing owners really took good care of him, and he looks like he could step into a show ring tomorrow. I know they are glad he is getting a good home.

equibase.com is totally free, plug the horse's name into the search box on the upper left of the page, and you'll get the complete race record/charts.

Thanks Brightsky. My friend says her trainer friend looked at him (she's got a GREAT eye for Hunter prospects/also R rated judge), and says he is nice/moves well, and sound. My friend will get a PPE. We are probably going up to see him Sat. If my friend gets him, he'll have hit the jackpot, as she's a great owner, and keeps her horses for life.

Went up and looked at him at the track today. He's very cute and loves attention. Great weight, dappled coat, obviously taken care of. There was a round pen to put him in, but it was pretty muddy, so not a great spot to see much. He was feeling good being trotted in hand, but my friend tacked him up and got on him, first in the round pen, then just in the open area near the barns and he was very businesslike. Stood like a rock for mounting/dismounting. VERY nice walk, and nice trot. Didn't get to see him canter. She's getting the PPE set up.
Turns out he's 7 yrs old. Raced 43 times...just recently last month. Legs look really clean. He's a gorgeous horse...very pretty head, and nice long sloping shoulder, good angles.

Ditto on wanting to find win pictures for my boys - Fran's Jet and Willie Cruise.

You have to first find out which track they had their wins at, then find out who the track photographer is. Contact them with the dates/race#s of the wins and they should be able to help you out.

Imachadadancer had all his wins at Philly Park. 1/28/08 Race 1, 5/28/07 race 9, 10/31/06 Race 5, 10/22/06 Race 4, 7/18/06 Race 3, and 3/4/06 race 10. According to Philly Park's (Parx) website the photographer is equiphoto, email equiphoto@hotmail.com.

Fran's Jet had one win at Tampa Bay downs, 4/13/04 race 10. They may not still have the photo at this point but their track photographer is Tom Cooley. I can't get to the website from work but the main track # is (813) 855-4401, and the racing office could probably connect you to the right person

Willie Cruise had one win at Delaware Park 5/20/03 race 1 and one at Laurel 2/20/03 (race 1). Delaware's photographer is hoofprints, inc (http://www.hoofprintsinc.com/) (they don't have images from that far back on their site unfortunately) and Laurel's I can't find, so try their racing office at 1-800-638-1859
