Melissa Miller's Intermediate horse, High Finance (JC What a Rebel) is suffering from lamintis following Potomac Horse Fever. He's not doing the best and could use some of the helpful COTH Jingles.

I've know Finny since before his last race & worked the sale to Melissa--he's not the easiest horse in the world but she has done a super job of developing him and believing in him--this is devastating for her.

I know Melissa from Area 8 YR's - she's really a class act, I felt lucky to have met her. So sorry to hear about this - thinking of her and Finny :/

Jingles LAZ. The vaccine can only do so much with all the strains of Potomac. Wishing him a full recovery...I've seen an older horse battle back so get well Finny!!

I met Melissa when she rode in the Becky Holder clinic in January. She very politely told me the difference between she and Missy Miller, as I had called her Missy. She is a class act.

Jingling for her amazing horse. I pray that he will have a full recovery.

Is PHF in your area or did he contract it at an event?

Hugs to both horse and rider.

I've known Melissa since she was a kid on a pony and she has come so far as a rider and a horsewoman. Finn is obviously not the easiest ride and she's done such a great job with him. Jingles for both of them - hoping that things turn around for Finny and he makes a good recovery.

May jingles and hopes that the stinking flounder will leave quickly. (And if you don't know where that term came from, check out Willem in the Favorites forum.)

Jingles for Finn and I hope he makes a good recovery. Potomac is a tough one to deal with and unfortunately the vaccine does not give 100% protection from contracting it.

Prayers and jingles.

Big jingles for Finn and Melissa! I have a soft spot for this horse b/c my buddy (Hollywood on here) bought him off the track and was the one who initially restarted him with LAZ's help. I am praying that the big guy pulls through!

Jingles for a speedy recovery!

Today's update is that he is much brighter-eyed and doing better--has rubber shoes & casts of some sort on,but is on his feet, interested, and moving. The vets are pleased with where he is--radiographs look good & blood flow is improved. He's a long way from out of the woods, but the clearing is in sight.

Keep those jingles coming--they are really helping!
