He is my little mare's dam's sire. I understand he was a dressage horse in his day. Anyone know much about him?

Any relation to this guy?

If my memory serves me correctly, he was a chestnut FEI horse ridden by Julie Julian from the midwest. I saw him at Dressage at Devon one year. It was a long time ago, so I am pretty fuzzy on details. Can't remember if he competed at GP or small tour.

Used to ride a son of his in Michigan, very dressagey, extremely easy going lots of suspension for a little guy ( 15.3 ),

Didn't he stand in N or S Carolina with a Trakehner stallion at a farm that bred and showed dressage horses? I don't remember him showing. I brokered a filly by him from a trainer friend of mine in Florida to a new home. He was very attractive -- much like his sire in conformation and color and seemed kind.

I was fairly certain it made it to the upper levels...which gives me great hope for the new mare...should she come sound :-(
She seems to be naturally wanting to be in the bridle and nicely forward and it appears that she'll be extremely agreeable.

I think that Laura and Robert Hall used to stand him at stud in Aiken, SC. He was a big beautiful moving chestnut son of Secretariat. They are at Ashbrook Equestrian Center now. The phone # there is 803-649-0505. I'm sure Laura would be happy to talk to you about him.
