:D

Steffen Peters in Aussie land swaps his dressage horse for Ian Francis' reining horse while Ian rides Steffen's dressage horse. Fun dialogue between the two of them as they go through their movements at the Equitana event in Melbourne.

Who was the horse? I did wonder when he said "he's just learning" the piaffe...

That was Shiraz Black. Nice horse. Ian and Steffen were very entertaining.

wow! Steffan's talents really shine both in developing a horse and in his ability to ride any horse regardless of discipline.

Fantastic fun - thanks for sharing!

My favorite quote:

"whoa! Did you see that sliding stop?" ~Ian

I enjoyed "You know the last time I was this high off the ground was in a 747?"

Just for the experience I took a reining lesson this past week, and the small size of the (quite talented) mare I rode took me by surprise. Apparently small is good in the reining world. :)

It was neat to see Ian get a little tense on him - just early on, those first two canters...and try to 'hold' him and Shiraz just went into the bridle more strongly, then he remembered how to slow him with his body.
