I just agreed to help a local equestrian park in Florida. It's a 40 acre trail riding park. Would like to apply for grants to help fund maintenance, improvements, clinics.. Does anyone have any idea where to start?
This is related to Eventing because you can condition your horse on the trails for an event.

Start at a public library, ask about the Foundation
Directory. It will detail various foundations and
tell what they offer grants for. Also see if the
reference librarian knows of anyone in the grant
writing world that might be willing to assist you.
Check with your county extension and see if they
will put you in touch with state folks; some of
them may have ideas of where to send grant
requests. Also ask in the offices of the town or
county where the park is located what possible
grants could be applied for and from whom.
Finally, for maintenance and/or improvements,
consider seeing if the local clubs like Lions, Elk,
Rotary, Masons, etc might be interested in
contributing labor and know-how to get the
