There is an appaloosa pony horse at Hollywood Park with the tail tied around to the saddle. Why would that be?

Sometimes people do that to keep the horse from cranking his tail. Possibly if he cranks his tail it bothers the horses he is ponying?

Must have come loose or was untied because it was tied in the 1st race.

Yep, I've been watching that horse for 2 or 3 yrs. and his tail is always tied. Just figured he must wring it to the point that it's annoying to the horses he's ponying.

The tail looked calm to me. Pretty nice too, considering so many appy riders complain about no tails.
