David Jay. He's the best kept secret in Florida. If you want piaffe/passage training accept no substitutes!

Brian McMahon. No, I take it back. I don't want him getting that busy.

Just curious, hopefully not a dumb question. What are you looking for in a "technical" trainer?

Someone that will pick apart my every wrong movement and make me aware of it, as opposed to just going 'round and 'round...Essentially, Im looking for a Gainesville/Ocala version of Mary Wanless...

Ah - I believe I have one of those, unfortunately she is only here full time in winters; every 5-6 weeks May-Nov. And we are closer to Orlando. The Poulins are also good; but not that close to you either.

There's also Gigha Steinman who moved her breeding and training farm to the Gainesville area last year. She's at River Oaks Farm.

For technical, I do like Sharon Poulin - she is very good at improving your seat/position. She tends to concentrate on that and through that, improving your horse. Even if she is a distance from you she is very good at that kind of nit-picky work.

I pm'd you, and just want to say that Vickie Rollack will pick apart everything you do and find a way to get you some new habits.... amazing how our horses go so much better when we are correct!
