This is Lincoln doing his best impression of a six-figure warmblood, and me giggling like a drunken hyena: waredaca xc (http://inlinethumb49.webshots.com/46192/2389092940062473912S600x600Q85.jpg). We really, really, like xc. A lot.

Does anyone else have fun feel-good pictures? I could use some warm fuzzies going into the weekend :)

Oh! I saw you guys at Waredaca! What a cutie!

He walked past our trailer and my best friend's mare whipped her head around and stood at attention. I think she had a thing for him

Great pic!

What a cute horse!

This is less of "feel good" and more funny, but I'm still smiling and laughing! (Oh and it's not eventing either persay but it's still galloping in an open field and jumping stuff!) Haha, this was right after our hunter pace team was timed. As soon as we got through the gate I let the reins completely slip through my hands as a reward. Of course she powered at the trot back out of the gate ahead of everybody. I lost a stirrup and the bight of the reins looped around that free stirrup. Of course I was laughing as I'm trying to get excited mare to stop for a second.

I'll play. I'm trying to mentally gear up for our show this weekend, and I've got this picture on my desktop.

Overachiever! That log was just out of the water complex and my reins were obviously a little long! Good pony. I actually recall landing off that fence and saying 'sh!t, horse! What are you trying to do to me?!'. I'm sure the JJ's were laughing.

Thanks everyone! He's pretty special :) I'm told the sire was a big boned TB and the mare was a Percheron/Paint cross. I got him from a dealer in Jarrettsville, Md who gets these colored draft crosses from a breeder in PA. Occasionally I see her list what looks like a full brother to mine...just sayin' tres grey

This is my horse seeing what's on the other side: (gravel. Dear God, there's gravel.) http://www.photoreflect.com/store/Orderpage.aspx?pi=0EBK00EK1R0006&po=7&pc=50

I think I was giggling and yelling "GO GO GO!" at the same time...resulting in a drunken hyena face :D

By the way, I was inspired by your move up to Training! We're taking the plunge next month at Loch Moy. I'm excited, terrified, and trying to decide if my usual half a beer before xc is going to be enough.

I have a lovely, very green 7yo TB and I am a fearful (after a bad fall from him) aged rerider. But I do laugh about our problems and I do drink beer!
Keep posting pictures! Its inspiring.

I have a greenish 7y/o TB X and am a fearful rerider too, so I also find these pictures inspiring - they really do make me want to get my a$$ out there and just do it!

Going to be brave and post video clip... This is my guy and I at a PT/Novice derby. It was our first show of the year- and we hadn't schooled/competed XC since august last year. I felt pretty comfortable, except that there was a coffin and we hadn't done a ditch since early last year, so wasn't sure how he'd be. Obviously my doubts were unneeded! It makes me smile to watch it.

Well, she's not an eventer... yet :)

This is our brand new arrival! 15 hours old! Out of a Lunar Buck (back to Buckpasser) Mare and Holsteiner Stallion whose line I can't remember for the life of me.

OMG, I so needed this thread today.

Here is mine - my old retired eventer (saddlebred/arabian cross) about 10 years ago - LEAPING out of the water about 3 strides before I was expecting. Needless to say I was a bit left behind....

Here is my 4 yo - being soooo goofy - he tried to buck me off the day prior so I had trainer ride the second day. When he wasn't being retarded, he looks good, I think....

And this one. Look at his knees! This was a bank up-bounce-vertical-bounce-down bank. I was not helping him much in this particular exercise, and we had already been going at it for around an hour after 3 previous days of hard work!

Ok, OP, where in PA did you get Lincoln?? I LOVE him, and my good friend literally just lost her horse due to surgical complications. Can you share which farm? Although I live in SC now, I am from PA.

I have no idea which farm, and I imagine the dealer keeps it a closely guarded secret ;) See if this link works: http://www.dreamhorse.com/show_list.php?form_owner_list=Y&srch_owner_id=133354 That should give you all the horses she currently has for sale at the farm in Jarrettsville, MD. If not, do a search and select "draft cross" and "Maryland" and you should be able to find her horses that way. She doesn't appear to have any Lincoln siblings at the moment, but she knows where to find them :)

Ironically, I almost lost Lincoln to colic surgery eight months after I bought him. I'm sorry to hear about your friend's loss.
