I'm debating whether or not to sign up for the elementary division at Waredaca in two weeks, but I have no idea what the cross country is like and was wondering if anyone could enlighten me, please. My young horse has only been schooling twice, and although we hopped over a plethora of things, (at Sierra Valley) I'm just curious how similar or not so similar the jumps are. Thanks.

I might be no help, as I have never been to Sierra Valley. Waredaca, unlike some other elementary events, you actually get to go around a bit of a course--the jumps and terrain are varied, it isn't just the "logs on the ground in a circle" division.
If I recall, there was a baby house fence, a painted stonewall (sort of looked more like a stadium fence), a little bench, an astroturf rolltop in a treeline, a fence made of railroad ties. And no doubt some logs.
