I'm finally getting back into the eventing/jumping world after spending years just focusing on dressage. One of the habits I have currently developed is not staying in two-point long enough over oxers & I'm not sure why. When I get to the fence, I think I just let my natural instincts take over or something, honestly, I'm not quite sure. Is there any advice on how to hold the two-point longer? Maybe my legs aren't as strong? I have a lesson this weekend, but would like to work on it over some smaller fences until then.

Perhaps grabbing mane or a grab strap will help you stay with him longer in the air. If you think you could improve your strength, then two point on the flat is a good idea too.

agree about the mane or neck strap- also just make is a conscious effort to keep your leg on over the jumps and KEEP it on! This might help?
