Renews one's faith, no?

Eventers are simply the best.

Gives you faith in humanity. I always heard Phyllis Dawson was a great person...

Remember, Phyllis herself lost everything (except equine lives, thankfully) in a barn fire just a few years back. More than a lot of people, she knows where Boyd is coming from. And how incredibly generous of Boyd's owner, to buy him a new po-po so quickly.
Reasons to look forward tend to make looking back less painful.

My parents bought my first horse, Holiday, from Phyllis. He was the very first horse we looked at and she gave me, a 12 yr old D-2 Pony Clubber, an impromptu jumping lesson on him. It was one of the great thrills of my young life and we still talk about it in my family.

She's a class act, and I'm so glad that she's helping Boyd to move on.

Lovely article. I feel like we are all so blessed to be apart of such a wonderful community.

Here's another article talking about the support. It also mentions what *may* have started the fire. :(

That article makes me very sad.

However, it's people like Bonnie Stedt (I had no idea who she was before reading the article below) who put their heart and soul into this sport who help make it what it is.

What a fabulous gift to Boyd. So glad to see him getting so much support from the best. Very heartening .

Damn hay-steamer .

I was a working student for Phyllis when her barn burnt down (also, incidentally, when Boyd's new horse was just a shaggy two-year-old out in the field!). She is above and beyond, a class act.

Kudos to all involved.

I makes me so proud to be involved with this eventing community of ours. The fact to so many people have reached out and given things, both tangible and emotional, gives me back the faith I had lost after having gone through some rough times.
